  1. I've traveled to Nashville quite a bit lately because of my job. Their traffic is already getting bad... This would make it worse.
  2. Row the boat!
  3. Agreed. He's made tremendous strides over the last year getting his body in shape. As well as tweaking his swing 3 months ago. Before the team commits to him long term, I'd like to see him keep up the same habits. I wouldn't mind paying a higher price later on if he continues what he's been doing.
  4. They should stand pat for the final 2 years of control. His value will be much different if he remains a 3B or moves to 1B/DH. He's trending in the right direction, which is crucial for him and the team's success. I am optimistic, but not willing to guarantee he will sustain his body just yet to make the commitment.
  5. Do you think the Tigers also popped champagne for securing the #1 overall pick last night?
  6. I think we all had doubts at different points in the season... That's being a Minnesota sports fan! My meltdown was the hot second Cleveland took a half game lead in the division. Thought that was a momentum killer for our Twins. I'm very glad to eat crow! They kept their foot on the gas and overcame a lot of obstacles to get here today.
  7. Watching a good baseball team is a hell of a lot more fun than the despair we've watched over the last 9 years... Only the beginning! Why not us? Why not now!!
  8. I would think so... Why do the Twins have to be on the hook for $6-8 million if he's out for the season?
  9. This will be the easiest non-tender decision in the off-season.
  10. Have no fear, it's just a bit on TD. People were literally saying him pitching on the same day he took a 2.5 hour flight was the reason his debut was terrible. The takes were HAWT and STRONG that day.
  11. I've got a feeling Astudillo will be an "obscure" jersey at Target Field in no time.
  12. Since we continue to see where he lacks, do we have to bring him back? When 86 MPH is all he's heaving, do we need to keep believing?
  13. Yes. Expected to get surgery. https://twitter.com/DWolfsonKSTP/status/1175189856827432960?s=19
  14. Could be a reason why Gibson is under appreciated. Too many meh to bad starts sprinkled in with some gems.
  15. It will all depend on his health... We will have PLENTY of time to discuss bringing him back or not. If free agency continues the way it has been it will move at a snail's pace. Given Gibson's age and health situation there won't be a line out the door bidding for him until Feb/March. The Twins can spend the winter aiming higher, and if they miss, bring back Gibson.
  16. I prefer door #2 but wouldn't be opposed to door #3 either. I concur with you about keeping former starters Littell and Graterol in the bullpen. Littell has certainly found a home there and could be counted on as a late inning reliever. It's going to take a huge ramp up for Graterol to start again. I just don't see a jump from 80 ish innings to 150 next year, which would be respectable starting numbers. The risk of injury seems too much to have him make that innings increase.
  17. Concur. The pen has been hot, which is perfect timing for the playoffs. I'm certainly not ready to crown them elite and forgo signing others to improve it. This winter I want them to go high end for starters, and keep tossing darts for bullpen help.
  18. If you come across a Vance "Vanimal" Worley Twins jersey holla at your boy!
  19. It's a relief to see Berrios back in a groove. I'm just ready for the playoffs now.
  20. I've got to imagine that's exactly what the Red Sox want... Someone who has shown success with limited resources and give them a much larger budget to work with. If I'm Falvey I'm taking that job too... He'd be crazy not to. It's the freaking Red Sox!
  21. Watched the game off and on while doing projects in the new house. A win is a win I guess? Tyler Johnson again is a very good player who will no doubt play on Sundays next year.
  22. The Yankees set an MLB record with 29 players spending time on the IL this year. But that's cool, we can default to the poor Twins have so much adversity to deal with argument.
  23. Money talks. If the Red Sox come knocking, Jim Pohlad's gonna have to open the wallet and pay to keep him.
