  1. My question as well after reading the recap… Didn’t he throw more pitches in the start when he was ill? Pre-game I was hoping for 6 strong innings from Ober. But it seems like there’s more gas left in the tank looking at pitch count.
  2. Also, happy Master’s weekend for those that celebrate! Best golf major and best golf venue of the year
  3. Same boat. If they win 2 in a row without us I’ll start watching future games with a blindfold on
  4. Doesn’t matter the industry… If you’re spending more on the product than your direct competitors with poor outcomes, changes are on the way soon. If the season is lost, I expect Lopez at the very least getting traded to lower expenses
  5. I’m not passionate about firing Rocco, but it’s time. It’s abundantly clear the players on this roster aren’t playing for him anymore. Move on before this becomes a lost season.
  6. Gonna be tough to sell off underperforming veterans… Everyone that’s been clamoring to play the kids will get their wish maybe by May 1 when the Twins are buried in the standings
  7. The Timberwolves blew a 20 point lead tonight too. Minnesota sports in a nutshell
  8. All of the people that “want to see the prospects play” will get that chance probably by May 1 because we’ll be so far in a hole
  9. These are just pathetic plate appearances
  10. Will we score another run? I have my doubts
  11. Should have transitioned Jax to a starter
  12. If he doesn’t improve he will be an easy non-tender once he starts getting expensive
  13. Who’s counting? You’re retired you shouldn’t know the date or day of the week!
  14. That hit elevated the heart rate a bit
  15. Lopez injured…. Just what this bullpen needs
  16. Gasper is more trusted to field 2B than Julien? What are we doing?
  17. If the new ownership group is looking at this as a long term investment, it will be a really good time to invest in the Twins. The TV subscriptions will never be lower than it is now… Declining attendance is a direct result of people sick of current ownership. A new group and a couple of make good strategies to win back fans will do wonders. No ownership group is ever going to realize a 3,000% increase like the Pohlads and other old time ownership groups. However, over a 15-20 year period franchise valuations could double or triple if MLB moves to a national TV broadcast model like the other major sports. The problem likely arises with private equity being in the equation. They want their return as soon as possible - at the expense of destroying corporations.
  18. There’s a legitimate effort issue that’s permeated through the locker room. Julien half assed it to 1B on the final out. Maybe the throw beats him out anyway, but at least look like you’re hustling my dude. I’ve seen the same half ass effort from Correa, Miranda, and others in the lineup.
  19. This is something I’m interested in monitoring throughout the year. After years of pay walling their content on TV, many people who would be considered casual fans have found other things to do in the summer time. Other more diehard fans are pissed about the ownership situation and the continuation of not investing in the team. I’m not just talking about solely money. I’m talking about an unbalanced roster full of slow, poor defenders with bats that aren’t good enough to make up the difference. Here is where we stand after the first home stand…
  20. Pretty important week of baseball coming up, and the bullpen is gassed. A bad week could bury this team to the point of no return.
  21. Look at where he was born and went to college. There’s your answer…
