  1. Is this the classic let the reliever hang out to dry before he’s sent to St Paul?
  2. The Alcalaholics are stumbling a bit now… 2 innings for him tonight?
  3. You also heard that the Twins have failed to score a single run from innings 7-9 in 15 of 20 games?
  4. In fairness to Vazquez this is a quality PA
  5. We can’t even pinch hit Vazquez because the bench is that thin. If Kiersey hits the IL, call up Emma Rodriguez. Empty the prospect cupboards and let’s see if Falvey should continue being employed in Minnesota.
  6. Absolute killer. No runs scored on that rally
  7. Why do we choose our 7th best reliever to be the opener on the rare times we do it?
  8. Keaschall making an impact immediately! You love to see it
  9. There are plenty of examples of mop up guys for the Twins. They all pitch when they’re up or down by 3+ runs late in the game. The Twins had a 91% winning expectation per Fangraphs when Jax entered the game. He got worse over his last 2 appearances for sure. Short sample size. Jax has plenty of time to fix things. We’re 7-13 and I don’t see a 12 game stretch against the White Sox and 99 loss Angels anytime soon. He needs to build up value to potentially trade him in July once we’re buried in the standings.
  10. It’s a shame we wasted a good Paddack start, which is a rare occurrence. Awesome debut by Keaschall. Keep it up young man
  11. There’s a reason why the Dobnaks of the world are pitching in the 8th and 9th inning when a team is down by 3 runs… Same thing when you’re up by 3 runs. Per your breakdown, he’s had 5 out of 9 appearances with a 0. 2 appearances 1.2 IP 2 earned runs. Then the last 2 disaster appearances 1.1 IP 7 ER. Ive got no issue getting him back on track with a mop up appearance or 2, but he will be back to performing like we’ve seen the last 2 seasons.
  12. I agree with you but the team was up 3 runs. That’s a pretty low pressure situation. Tonight was just one of those blow up nights that relievers have. Then they spend the next 2 months trying to correct the 1 terrible outing so their ERA is back to respectable.
  13. His BABIP is absurd right now but he’s not cooked the whole season. This is a lesson in relievers being the kings of SSS
  14. Just a horrific way to lose that one.
  15. Perfect gif of what just happened. My god.
