That’s just adding to the problem of giving opportunities/roster spots to guys who have zero future here. We did the roster reset. Take these 2 months giving every rep they can to young players who could be a part of the solution for 2026 and beyond.
Gestures broadly at Rocco Baldelli. Are we doing a reset or not? Once again he gets schooled by Stephen Vogt when it comes to manufacturing runs in Manfred Ball.
Fun story on the radio broadcast team tonight. Wichita Wind Surge broadcaster Tim Grubb is calling this series for the Twins with Glen Perkins. Tim has called 4,000 minor league games and this is his MLB debut.
Will Provus change his signature call from “Heeee struck him out!” to “Heeeee struck out!” Talking about our offense? So many exciting things happening in Twins Territory
42 HRs through July for him. Already the all time record for a switch hitting C in MLB history. Sal Perez has the all time record for C at 48 in 2021. Big Dumper should cruise through that. He’s currently on pace for 67 HRs…
One of our local journalists needs to stay on this story… I remember when the bombshell was dropped about how toxic things got in the Vikings organization. Where Zimmer and Spielman weren’t on speaking terms for over a year. There’s something deeper going on at 1 Twins Way.
I guess… Doesn’t that say everything we need to know about Rocco? Guy doesn’t have a backbone to say if you’re letting all of my players go let me go too?
Joe Pohlad is going full Major League on the bit. Correa’s comments are telling. Paddack didn’t have time to unpack his suitcase before saying everything about the Tigers is better than what he had with the Twins.
You’re not going to find any disagreement from me. We should fire Rocco tonight too while we’re at it. I’m amazed he will likely be allowed to finish out the season.
Edit: Amazed isn’t the correct term. Falvey literally proved he will trade 10 players away to keep his friend employed.
This regime has always been weird about announcing coach contracts. For all we know the option was picked up in February. Dan Hayes just caught wind of it and announced it during one of our worst stretches of the season at the time.
As far as the topic at hand… Here’s my rough guess at a lineup for the next week or two…
C - Jeffers 1B - Sabato 2B - Clemens SS - Lee 3B - Lewis LF - Larnach CF - Buxton RF - Wallner DH - Keaschall
By Sept 1…
Jeffers - Clemens - Julien - Lee - Lewis - Rodriguez - Buxton - Larnach - Keaschall
I assume Keaschall will be extremely limited throwing and play mostly DH.
