    Kirk definitely thought he had another 2-3 good years left as a starter in the NFL so he chased the largest bonus like he’s done for the last 10 years. Can’t say I feel sorry for him at all. He made his bed and now he’s gotta lie in it until his contract is more manageable to cut. Meanwhile, the Vikings are able to put one of the best rosters on paper in the past 15 years. So thanks Kirk! Never change my man.

    If they’re seriously open to shopping around Joe Ryan, I think we have our answer if Joe is willing to sign an extension here. This is the last person I trust Falvey and Zoll with getting the best return. I’m open to the discussion when we have new leadership in place.

    In 4 of his last 5 starts he’s given up 1 or 0 ER. He’s figured something out against these good lineups. Maybe we have another SP who can handle more innings, but we won’t know until he gets the opportunity. If SWR was at 80+ pitches after 5, then let’s pull him from the game. Except in recent starts he’s been efficient in that metric too.
