  1. Ugh, that's some pretty mangled spellchecking. I of course meant, "...want TO give..."
  2. Add my name to the list of folks who want up give Chris Carter a chance.
  3. Are the Twins a better team without Sano? You have to start wondering.
  4. If nothing else at least we don't have to shudder and shake our heads when we look at who the Twins' starting pitcher is going to be.
  5. Happiness is doing what you absolutely had to do no matter what in a 4 game series and still have one game to go.
  6. Rosario hitting .369 over his last 30 games with 7 HRs and 24 RBIs.
  7. My neighbor's cat regularly comes over to disapprove of us. (Proudly and shamelessly taken from someone who posted it on my Twitter feed)
  8. Re the discussion on Killebrew striking out, he struck out 100 times or more 7 times but only twice did he strike out over 130 times (135 and 142). He also had 100 or more BBs 7 times.
  9. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., Juan Soto, the 18-1/2-year-old that the Nationals just called up, hit a 3-run homer on the first pitch he saw in his first game as a starter. Must be rough.
  10. For what it's worth, because of injuries and that the fact he is mashing everything he sees, the Washington Nationals just called up their 18-1/2-year-old whiz kid outfielder, Juan Soto. He started out this year in low A ball.
  11. Cave and Astudillo are now both hitting over .260, and even Vargas is over .200!!!! Hope springs eternal.
  12. . Combined they’re 5 for 6, rest of line-up is 3 for 25.
  13. Whew, I was getting worried that not every starter in the Brewers’ line-up would get a hit this evening.
  14. I don't suppose it would improve morale if I pointed out that Suter is the least effective of the Brewers' 5 starters?
  15. I always go to sleep with a sense of dread during West Coast trips but find myself waking up happy more often than not after seeing the game results.
  16. Totally off topic, but I see that the Royals put up 10 runs (and 4 HRs) up in the first inning against the Orioles so I go look for the equivalent of TwinsDaily for O's fans. https://www.camdenchat.com/2018/5/8/17333186/tuesday-night-gamethread-vs-royals-7-05-pm The despair is as bad as it was here a week ago, but the language, as they say, leaves much to be desired. A much higher class of fan here. Minnesota nice or something. Oh, and I checked in on the game on TV and Camden Yards is all but empty this evening. A nasty tumble for a great franchise.
  17. Would a battery of Colon and Wilson be nicknamed "Two Tons of Fun"?
  18. Meanwhile, in Rochester, Slegers got lit up pretty good by the Iron Piggies from the Lehigh Valley (10 hits and 5 runs in 6-1/3).
  19. Playing the White Sox is good for what ails you. Listening to Hawk? Not so much.
  20. With Petit being recalled that leaves one player (Astudillo) hitting more than .242 at Rochester. That means the other 10 are batting .242 or worse (6 are under .200) How is it possible to have that kind of a roster on a AAA team? And then, other than Gordon and Wade, what non-pitcher is even close to being ML ready? It's embarassing.
