  1. I think the last week has shown that with Gonzalez in the line up the Twins are a different i.e. much better, team than they are when he isn't. And Arraez is simply amazingly -- BA is now .354.
  2. Let it Sano, let it Sano, let it Sano.
  3. Rosario-mania as Eddie gets his 100th rbi.
  4. No help from the Detroit Kittens this evening.
  5. Arraez batting a cool .350. Whoever decided to call him up deserves a bonus.
  6. Duffey/LIttell/May/Rogers over the last 30 days: 38 appearances 4 wins, no losses 8 saves (all Rogers) 42 IP 22 hits 2 runs (both HRs) 3 walks 56 Ks ERA of 0.43 WHIP of 0.59
  7. An interesting fact as I did in depth research to see who is likely to hit a bomba or two this evening is that NONE of the bomba blasters has more HRs at Target Field than on the road. Other than Castro, who not really considered a slugger (7 at home and 5 on the road) and Gonzalez (10/5), only Garver has as many HRs at home as he's hit elsewhere (15/15). Given that, tonight's candidates are Garver, Gonzalez, Cruz (18/19) or Kepler (17/19), and let's throw Cave in there just for fun (3/4).
  8. An big early lead with lots of bombas would be nice. Then again, Berrios does seem to have a slight problem with making it through 5 with big leads.
  9. Nats Young folks who don't what we're talking about need to read about what happened. Especially how Chico Ruiz stole home when Frank Robinson was up. See link. https://sabr.org/gamesproj/game/september-21-1964-chico-ruiz-steals-home-begin-phillies-collapse
  10. Nats have lost 7 of 10 and are far from a lock on a WC spot. At a minimum they'll be likely playing for being home team.
  11. Twins had to win one this weekend and they won two. Cleveland won't sweep the Phillies and Nationals. If the Twins win 6-7 of final 13 games I'd like to think they'll be good for winning the division. But why do I keep thinking about the '64 Phillies?
  12. Everyone who thought the Twins would sweep the doubleheader raise your hands. Liars.
  13. 1-2-3 in the 9th. Nothing to it. This is what I was expecting/hoping for from May when the season started.
  14. I guess the support folks in the Cleveland dugout are rushing to remove the water coolers to protect them Goody.
  15. Still no base runners since Rosario's home run.
