  1. To answer the question in the headline: Of course it's NOT possible. We, this site and the fans that follow it are Twins fans. We come to the breakfast table every morning convinced that someone pissed in out cereal. In fact, if no one did, we do it ourselves. So, obviously, there is no way he can become anything close to the player envisioned when we drafted him.
  2. Careful dude. You almost sound like you are on board with something management is doing. I see scorn and ridicule in your future. Have you updated your resume?
  3. Did anyone actually say that or are you just choosing to believe that based on zero evidence?
  4. Not disagreeing that there might still be moves to be made but "Kris Atteberry says so" is not really my reason for feeling this way.
  5. With only two September call ups allowed these days it's highly unlikely that anyone gets the call. You have to figure that one of the spots goes to a pitcher.
  6. Given the fact that we gave up the best starting pitcher we have developed in a generation to get him it's not a matter of IS he but one of he had BETTER be.
  7. I know it's difficult for the folks who run and, for the most part, follow, this site to contemplate but it IS possible that the glass, just MIGHT be half full.
  8. Santana is NOT a really good comp. By the time he was Prielipp's age he had four years in the big leagues and in that age 25 season won the first of those Cy Youngs.
  9. I don't really care who is number 2. Just want to see all of them here and succeeding in the next three years and see all of them (except Tait) get significant big league exposure this season since there may well not be a season in 2027 and I don't want to be sitting here two years hence and without these guys having seen the bigs.
  10. Solano is the cautionary tale for expectations. I remember questioning the signing. Even more questions when he had 5 RBI by late May. By the end of the season, we don't win the division without what he brought to the table. So it CAN happen. Nobody expected a Gold Glove from Carlos Santana either.
  11. lot of other ways to get a decent reliever with upside other than trading your starting catcher.
  12. Only 6 Twins had a higher WAR than Caratini in 2025. One of them was traded at the deadline. Lewis, Wallner, Larnach & Lee were NOT among the six. I think he'll fit in just fine. Lots of talk about Jeffers playing some first base. Caratini has actually DONE that.
  13. Keep remembering that the return from the Varland trade is a 23 year old left handed pitcher who is currently ranked as our 5th best prospect and projected to arrive in the big leagues in 2026. Hell, the fact that he's left handed probably makes the trade a win.
  14. True. But bullpens CAN be built fairly quickly. In fact, most teams rebuild at least half of their bullpen every off-season.
  15. Didn't say that. But there is NO reason to believe he is any better than the ones we added. Except your vitriol towards ownership and management.
  16. Fitzgerald is literally the poster child for mediocre vet. On his best day.
  17. Any move that takes potential at bats away from Jenkins, Rodriguez or Gonzalez is a firm NO from me.
  18. Hopefully that last statement still holds true in 3 years. WOULD be kind of funny to see Twins fans have to eat crow about some of those deadline trades.
  19. Your opinion and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee. Not the good kind but the crappy kind you get for a quarter.
  20. The key objective should be making sure guys like Jenkins, Rodriguez, Gonzalez, Culpepper, Abel & Rojas get significant big league experience in 2026. With the very real possibility of there being no major league baseball in 2027 we don't want to be sitting here two years hence having no clue what these fellas are going to look like against real live MLB bullets.
  21. Too bad Realmuto's agent isn't Boras. It's getting late enough in the game that Boras might find a way to get him here. Oh, well.
