  1. My frustration with Gibson is that it seems like every time the team puts up some runs for him, he immediately gives them back in the next half inning. I'm not sure if that's statistically true, but it sure seems like it.
  2. Twins Daily Posters: "bunting is a waste of an out!" Twins Daily Posters: "how dare the Twins not be good at bunting!"
  3. My four years of high school Spanish leads me to believe it would actually be frijoles de gelatina. Say it right so you don't get accused of cultural appropriation.
  4. Dazzle just mentions that Moreland beat the shift, and adds the obligatory, "if the Twins are playing straight up, that's an out". Just once I'd like to hear an announcer mention after a single up the middle "if the Twins are playing a shift, that's an out".
  5. Also, jelly bean in Spanish is jelly bean, which makes no sense, since jelly is gelatina, and bean is frijole. Damn you Ferdinand and Isabella!
  6. Eddie is like one of those jelly belly bean-boozled jelly beans. He's either fantastic, or makes you want to vomit, with nothing in between.
  7. So two what the hell moments just happened back to back, courtesy of Dazzle. 1--Gladden mentions Royce Lewis hits a homerun (awesome!) in his first professional at bat against the GCL Orioles. This leads him to wonder if the homerun came against a rehabbing Justin Haley. Ummmm...why does Gladden thinkour pitcher be rehabbing for the Orioles? 2--Gladden speculates on whether Lewis might move up this year, and says he wonders if the Miracle will be his next stop. Does he really think Lewis is going to skip not only E-town, but low A too?
  8. Breslow and Belisle were both signed by the new regime, so if either of them gets sent out, it's not due to a new regime, it's the regime in question admitting they made a mistake.
  9. According to gameday he's thrown a handful of sliders.
  10. I'm so much more interested in finding out about Busenitz than in winning this game. Here's to hoping we can do both though.
  11. In a contest of bullpens, the Twins NEVER have the advantage.
  12. I am shocked, SHOCKED to hear that there are smart alecks on the game thread.
  13. Weren't you paying attention? The post clearly said yummy. They are yummy.
  14. That actually IS Brian's style! Amazingly enough, it comes out coherently! Well, most of the time...
  15. Where where? I always thought it was hear hear, as in an old timey vernacular for "I hear that!"
  16. Tim or Les? Also, they've been cloning themselves?
  17. Because Colorado came first. Wyoming is just an attention-seeking copycat wannabe.
  18. A couple thoughts on At Bat; I don't like how it makes you restart the gameday portion of the app if you've been doing something else on your phone for more than a couple of minutes. I also don't like that the highlight videos have been shortened, so you no longer get to see replays. Those are my complaints for the night. For now.
  19. I like Colorado. It's very no-nonsense. Not like some of those flashy states, like Illinois.
  20. Biscoff rules! When I worked for the airline, I would eat about 20 packs a day from our stock room.
  21. Portland is Seattle Junior. Of course, Seattle is Vancouver Junior. Which makes Portland Vancouver the Third.
  22. Is the organizations best hitting coach in Minnesota or in Rochester? If it's Rochester, what in the heck are we doing as an organization. If it's Minnesota, wouldn't we want Buxton to be working with that guy?
  23. Two things--Buxton is so fast he doesn't even look like he's running fast in that video. Second--when a catch is assigned a catch rate of 44%, is that number based on Buxtons abilities, or a generic fielder? For instance, if Grossman was for some inexplicable reason playing center field when that ball was hit, it's nowhere near a 44% chanc it's caught.
  24. According to the twins page on the at bat app, Rosario is going to AAA, and Rucinski was dfa'd. Turley coming up is one--does this mean we might see Busenitz soon?
  25. I echo that these writeups are phenomenal, well done to all involved. As for trading Santana, I think we should be open to the idea. If a team is desperate, and will give us 2-3 top 100 prospects, we should absolutely do it. While we might make the playoffs this year, we are not championship caliber yet, and we don't have the pieces in AAA to get there in the next year. However, if we can get a stud or two that can be part of the Gonsalves/Romero/Wright (if they draft him) wave, we could have a nice rotation in 2019. Not a bad return for a wild card/first round loss in 2017.
