That's 2 bunts for base hits to third already today--any chance Dozier isn't the clubhouse leader we've been led to believe? Also, surprise surprise, Danny thinks Dozier's comments were absolutely correct.
Exactly. It's like a basketball team getting upset that when they double the post, the offense takes an open 3. Or a football team fuming when the offense passes the ball every time they put 8 in the box. I don't mind some of baseball's unwritten rules, but the Infallible Guide to the Appropriateness of Bunting drives me insane.
I mean, you have 8 guys in the pen, a day off tomorrow, and a day off Friday. I don't think the pen needs to be saved. Barring us getting back into the game however, Kinley needs to pitch today.
Not to split hairs or anything, but every hitter on the Twins roster is, by definition, a professional hitter. Just kidding, I ABSOLUTELY meant to split hairs.
Update--according to a quick google switch, not only does Robbie not currently have a girlfriend/fiance/wife, there is no record of a past relationship. I therefore declare my intention to change Robbie's name from SpongeRob GrossPants to Lone Wolf Grossman, or LWG for short.
So am I correct in believing that LaMarre cannot play in the field unless we want to surrender the DH spot? If so, pinch running for a DH when you're not confident in your center fielder's offense is an issue.
