  1. Unfortunately, payroll will follow the direction of revenue which will continue to go South.
  2. I acknowledge the joke now lets get back to more pressing issues such as Jeff Gray.
  3. Again next year, the Pohlad's will pocket a large chunk of the Money coming off the books. The Payroll will continue to drop. This year, 30 million dollars came off the books. Only 3 million of that was invested in upgrading the pitching staff.
  4. Why are we concerned about losing Jeff Gray??
  5. Rearrange the Deck Chairs???? https://encrypted-tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRNxSt998qulig4wtgBXKKQLN-_eev6P7F1cyM_r5KrItYi36E
  6. The Twins are becoming unwatchable.
  7. You are right, everybody who advised and worked under Smith is still in place.
  8. At the moment Hendricks is not a Major League Pitcher.
  9. Last year, 30 million dollars came off the Books. 3 million dollars of that was used to upgrade the starting pitching. Take that as you wish.
  10. The Twins did not over spend in 2010! The revenue for the Twins in 2010 was 213 Million Dollars. St. Peter repeatedly stated that the Twins would spend 50% of Revenue towards payroll. For much of the first Season, the Twins spent less then that. By the way, Ticket prices are way more then I ever thought the Twins would go to. (5th highest in Baseball)
  11. Trade Willingham and Morneau? How many people will buy tickets to see this product.
  12. Does this mean that Delmon will not be appearing at the Fan Cave???
  13. I thought this was a rebuilding year?
  14. I guess we can all celebrate having a lower payroll but keep this in mind. The Twins had the 6th highest average ticket price last year. Twins Fans will continue to pay big market prices for tickets and food, at least the ones that are left.
  15. In front of me, I am looking at tickets for 28 more games. Remember folks, Season Tickets are still available. Or Put down a deposit for next year.
  16. He has been putting up better numbers then he did with the Saints.
  17. I wish Clete Thomas would join a long list of Saint Paul Saints.
  18. The Twins are 14th in franchise value and 13th in Team revenue. Below are the 30 Teams by the numbers. The Business Of Baseball - Full List
  19. I have seen the Falcon (kestrel) v the Moth.
  20. Last year, the Twins sold 100 million dollars in tickets alone. Money spent at the Ballpark still accounts for most of the gross.
  21. Everybody picture Bobby Valentine in a Twins uniform. This should make everyone feel better. Post Game update 11.28pm I thought the above statement would hold up.
  22. You gotta love Kelly "Richard, Mr. Willingham"
  23. We are a mid market team at best? Last year the Twins sold more tickets then 26 other Teams. Twins ticket prices are the 6th highest in Baseball. Big market no. Upper mid market yes.
  24. Somewhere in between is probably the best option.
  25. Best Manager Joe Maddon (By a Mile) There would not be accountability issues. The Younger players would live up to his standards, or they would find themselves back in the minors. Players who wanted out of the lineup would have to tell him personally, not through a Trainer. Maddon would not manage through the Newspaper. Maddon would also instill a (battle to the last Man attitude.) + 8 Wins based on attitude and accountability. Worst Manger Bobby Valentine Has made a mess of Boston in less then three weeks -10 losses at least.
