    There will be a large group of mid price Free Agent Pitchers on the Market next year. Why would you use your money on anyone coming off TJ. Lets remember how Nathen looked coming off his Surgery.

    I was watching Caleb Thiebar at Midway Stadium last year. It will be quit a story if he is eventually called up. Plays last year in Saint Paul and the next year is pitching at Target Field.

    I do not believe that there are many people who actually hate Mauer. A lot of folks were angry and upset with him last year. There were plenty of reasons to be upset. Mauer is trying very hard to make amends for last year. I believe, most of the public realizes this. Most of the time when I am at Target Field, he is getting a warm reception. Folks such as Phil Mackey and Jim Souhan, will play up the (hate Joe mauer angle) They need a group that they can refer to as being " stupid, crazy and foolish idiots." They get their ammunition mostly from twitter, newspaper comments and supposedly their own emails. These outlets represent a very small portion of the Twins Fan Base.

    Ryan probably feels that Doumit will give the Team flexibly on how they use Mauer.

    The Pohlad's first concern is making money. As long as they do that, they will not make any changes. Even with a large attendance drop, the Pohlad's are set up to make a nice profit.

    It would be great to see the Twins move their low A Team to Ceder Rapids. A lot of Twins fans would be making frequent trips. The Twins do need to get out of Beloit. Pohlman Field is absolutely substandard for an affiliated Class A Team. Most Independent League Teams have better facility's. Cedar Rapids and the Twins would be a great fit.

    I still wonder, who in the organization was responsible for recommending Nishioka. Its one thing to miss on draft picks and prospects but the scouting on Nishi was absolute incompetence. Is this person or persons, still with us? Bill Smith went on advice and recommendations. I will not point the finger torwards him on this one.

    Does anyone know the extent of the Lester Oliveros elbow injury. So another top pitching prospect is injured. He looked good at Target Field last week.

    The Draft will be very important. That is how the Tampa Rays built their Team. Not all of their foundation players were first round picks.

    It is possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. The Twins organization is capable of putting a decent product on the field, while at the same time rebuilding the Farm system. A system which will hopefully one day stock a Championship Team. Choose your core players and augment them with revenue generated player acquistions. Its surprising, how many people want to follow the small market formula which is led by Teams such as Kansas City, San Diego and Pittsburgh. Shred your roster of any ounce of talent, and then wait for years, as the Royals do for the prospects to grow up. Its also possible that the prospects will never grow up.

    Unless your trading with Bill Smith, Bullpen Arms do not bring much in trade. What did the Twins give up for the 2009 leader in saves, Brian Fuentes? A player to be named later Loek VanMil What did the Mets receve from the Brewers for Premiere Closer Francisco Rodriguez?? Two players to be named latter LHP Danny Ray Herrera and RHP Adrian Rosario. What a haul that was!! I Agree with USAF, why trade your good cheap assets for anything short of starting pitching. Lets not get Trade happy

    Is it a given, that a large portion of the 25-30 million coming off the books next year, will be going into the Pohlad's pocket?

    Why would we trade Perkins? He has a very Team friendly contract and is locked up for the next four years. Are we going to get front line pitching prospects for him, probably not. You cannot turn around an Organization with B and C prospects. Why do so many people want the Twins to become the Kansas City Royals?
