  1. Small to medium bad deals can add up. Nishioka 5 million Marquis 3 million Blackburn 4.75 million ---------------------- It can be argued that 13 million dollars was thrown down the drain this year. 13 million dollars spent wisely would have brought in ????
  2. Exactly Spending money WISELY is very powerful. There could be as much as 20+ million dollars to spend on starting Pitching next year. That will not take anything away from growing talent in the Farm system. Some folks, wish to follow in the footsteps of Teams such as Kansas city. The Twins have revenue that the Small markets do not have. Going to Target Field and paying the prices out there is a good reminder. The Twins can rebuild their Farm System while putting out a good product. Its been done. This will probably be the direction Terry Ryan takes.
  3. Kicking the Tires?? What if we throw in Rust Proofing.
  4. Keep an eye on Gene Gleen, Manager in Rochester. Gleen was a rare outside of the Organization hire. Big improvement in Rochester this year. Has the credentials. If Ryan does make a change next year, he will give more weight to someone in the Organization. Gene Glynn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  5. I agree, Ryan will not consider removing Gardenhire during the Season. Ryan could be ordered by the Pohlad's to make a change but I doubt it. They are still achieving their main goal by making big Money this Summer.
  6. Within a few days following the end of the Season, the Twins will start asking Season Ticket Holders for down payments on the following Season.
  7. Tom Kelly has stated that one of the reasons he retired, was that the Players were starting to tune him out. Almost every Manager has a Shelf life. Talking about his last Season,Terry Francona stated "I was no longer getting through to my Players." Almost every Manager reaches this point. There are a few exceptions such as Tony La Russa. The day may even come when Joe Maddon decides to move on. This is not a bad reflection on Gardenhire, it happens to almost everybody. Even Bud Grant reached this point!!
  8. Sano is way ahead of where a 19yo should be. How many players under 20 are in A Ball, also add his postion on top of the leader board for HR and RBI'S. He must be doing something right. If he doesn't learn how to field, he will be a career DH. I doubt that he would want that. This (Twins Way, Twins Guy's) Crap is one reason the Twins find them self's at the bottom of the league. The Twins also concluded that Wilson Romos was no longer a (Twins Way) player. We can start a list! Garza, Lohse, Bartlett etc.
  9. We have been hearing for sometime about Valencia being a bad Boy. How about some details?
  10. I only have 16 more games left in our Season Ticket package. I love Target Field (i will keep telling myself)
  11. Disgraceful Disappointment with Domit.
  12. Is anyone going to Translate Nishi's first Tweet??? ブロガーはサック
  13. Robertson is a junk ball soft tosser which the Twins have plenty of. There's better in Rochester
  14. Im looking forward to a Nishioka exchange. ブロガーはサック
  15. Every rebuilding Team needs some Veterans to mentor the young ones. Both Plouffe and Dozier have credited Carroll for helping them in the Field. 25-27 million is coming off the Books next year. We sure need Carroll's Money too. We cannot forget that the Twins are still a Small Market Team. Any move which help's the Pohlad's lower the Payroll will be wise.
  16. A weight Loss Supplement! Does anyone know the name? I'm getting sick of drinking Slim-Fast.
  17. Yea, I agree. The Forum has dropped a few notches over the last month. It was bound to happen.
  18. A team such as Tampa would consider a trade like this insane. Why would Tampa give up one of their top starters for a A prospect from the Twins. Tampa develops their own Star Talent. Andrew Friedman is the GM, not Bill Smith. No one will give up a Pitcher who is the caliber of David Price for some A ball prospects, no matter how high their upside.
  19. Let me get this one straight. The Twins are trying to build up their Farm System by shipping off their top prospect, who by the way, is the only true power hitter in the Farm System. Do I have this right??
  20. There have been some bad threads put up lately coupled with ridiculous comments. Maybe things will improve once the trade deadline passes.
  21. Why would Tampa Trade Price for a Twins prospect in A ball??? Unlike the Twins, Tampa does not have a problem developing their own Star Players.
  22. The trading hysteria has finally reached our top prospect in A ball. The Twins can acquire a front line starter through free agency. Nobody wants to admit that the Twins have the resources to do it.
  23. I'll trade the Box for what's behind the Curtain!!
  24. Sioux Falls has the independent League Canaries. They draw under three thousand a game. To small a market.
  25. Span is not an upcoming Free Agent. There is not a deadline for a Span Trade. He might be traded a year from now. Ryan will wait for the right deal.
