    This year has nothing to do with last year. Last year, the Twins had several valuable free agents which they ended up keeping. This year, the Twins traded the only free agent with any value.

    For months this was a civil forum. We did not have members taking personal shots at each other. If you do not like postings from a particular member, don't read them!! There is a wide range of views here from Kool aid to over the top. That's the way it is.

    You spend a little more, you probaly get a reliable pitcher. Scrape the bottom, you risk throwing away your Money like a cheap TV. Here's a start, a little hindsight yes, but a great Baseball man like Ryan should be able to pluck a few of these. Paul Maholm 4.7 million Erik Bedard 4.5 million Chris Capuano 9million total for 2 years + 1 mil buyout. There will be a large class of these mid level Guys next year.

    Outside of Slowey and Silva, A good number of ex Twins Pitchers ended up finding themselves, once they left the Twins. I will throw in Jose Mijares who was a head case here, flourishing with the Royals. We all know the rest of the list. The possiblity exist for a little more frustration.

    Terry Ryan is not going to make moves based on what the Fans want or those on Twins Daily. How is the Fan base suppose to show that they want to see moves? Signs are not allowed at Target Field. The Fan Base cares about seeing a quality product on the Field. If not, they will continue the trend of showing up as empty seats.

    Will Valencia still be the Prince of Uptown? Maybe this time, he will wise up and realize that he must focus 105% on saving his career.

    As we know, Perkins had just signed a long term deal with a nice hometown discount. Perkins stated that playing in his home State was important to him. Do we really think that Ryan will trade him away before the ink is even dry on his contract, and for a C+ prospect? We have to remind ourselves, that it's not always about numbers and statistics. There are actual people involve too. Ryan does not want a reputation of burning players who show some good will towards his Organization. Trade him if there is a blow away offer. Burning him for a low to average prospect would be foolish.
