  1. Very nice blog. One good thing about independent baseball, is that it gives those who are cut a second chance. There are success stories that come out of those leagues.
  2. If the Twins would have used a few of the Bloggers, they might have saved their money.
  3. Does this show that the 2011 Twins were 9.8 wins better then a full AAA Team playing in the Majors?
  4. Nishioka does not have the basic fundamentals which are required to play Major League Baseball. How was that missed??
  5. I still would like to know which Scouts made the recommendation. Are they going to be involved with the upcoming Draft?
  6. Is Roy Oswald still available? Would they???????
  7. I ask this with all sincerity, but why do folks believe that Doyle is ready for the Majors. He has yet to pitch at the AAA level?
  8. Not renewing Baker's option next year would help the Pohlad's lower payroll to under Ninety million. This may be their ultimate goal. Lets hope that Baker has a good year and forces the issue.
  9. Burton has had injury issues the last two years. The Reds have good Bullpen depth so they decided to move on.
  10. There are independent league success story's such as Chris Coste and Saint Paul Saints Alumni Kevin Millar.
  11. Last year, the Twins sold more tickets then twenty six other Teams. Forbes Magazine will show that it was a record year for Twins revenue. If the Twins have lost faith in their fans after last year their crazy.
  12. Terry Doyle may need a year of pitching AAA Ball. Something he has yet to do.
  13. How can everyone forget beautiful Tropicana Field which makes our Dome look like Target Field. The Stingray petting pond behind Centerfield is second to none.
  14. 40 Games, packages E and F in 305. A lot of back to back games.
  15. I saw a game at the Tokyo Dome. It is like the Metrodome on Steroids. There was no Bullpen. The Relievers would play catch in front of the Dugout before entering the game.
  16. Finding the plate is not a new problem for Bulger.
  17. Can anybody tell me about Quad cities? Being located on the river, is it the Minor League version of PacBell?
  18. The bottom line to the Bullpen issue is this, A Team that sold more tickets then 26 other Teams in Baseball is not even willing to spend a million Dollars to upgrade the Leagues worst Bullpen. By the way, the low budget Tampa Rays will be spending more money on their Bullpen.
  19. Each Teams circumstances dictate the level of payroll they need. The Tampa Rays do not need a large payroll. Their farm system is producing star players. Yes Terry Ryan did more with less Money but look at who the farm system was producing back then. Do the current Twins need a little more payroll. The state of the Bullpen will give you that answer.
  20. One of the biggest bomb throwers at 1500 is Phil Mackey. He took some shots at the Centric Crew yesterday. He will never take a call and engage in some conversation with people he disagrees with. Its just easier to take his unopposed shots and move on. Maybe that's the reward for always being the smartest man in the room.
  21. The Folks on 1500 Kstp basically tow the Twins Company line. They take a lot of shots at people who they do not agree with. That's my problem with them.
  22. This is a Market where much of the Media tows the Company line. You will not get an alternate view from the likes of Phil Mackey. The Centric Guys will give you a point of view which you may not see with the main stream media. If you want Kool Aid, there's plenty to chose from.
  23. Whats real crazy is to spend Five Million on a Closer and next to nothing torwards setting him up.
  24. There are some beautiful stadiums in A Ball. Pohlman Field is substandard
  25. John Gets it. Another good reason to come here.
