  1. They could bring back Parmelee
  2. Sign Mauer to a 2 or 3 year deal for 3 - 4 mill per year, he will take that. His overall game is probably better than most of those bat first guys. The Twins had guys like that with Willingham and Arcia and they ended up being a hindrance more than a help.
  3. Just a question, a qualifying offer is for 1 year if I'm correct, who is a better fit at 2nd base for the Twins next year?? Someone who hasn't even played there yet?
  4. This actually does make some sense?? Especially if you are looking to keep your core intact. If you were going to unload Rosario and Sano, etc.... Then no it makes no sense. But if you are keeping the core together then adding pieces that would make the club stronger next year would make sense since it's a buyer's market. But Escobar has really no starting spot on the Twins team if they have all of Sano, Polanco and Dozier in the infield?? So trading him sucks but it was probably necessary so as to give Sano full reign at 3B.
  5. Well I believe that the Twins have winning records against Boston, Cleveland and Houston so far this year?? They've just stunk against KC, Detroit, and the White Sox??
  6. I was listening to the game last night in XM radio, so I had to listen to the Red Sox announcers. Before the game they made some observations about Lance Lynn. They were thinking out loud that Lynn's struggles could be weight related? (Maybe like Sano?). They observed that Lance was probably well over 300 pounds. They mentioned that when Lance was with St. Louis they had gotten him a nutritionist that worked with him and got his weight down and they think that's why he pitched better there. They were thinking that with his weight that he tires out more as the game goes on than other pitchers?? Then as the game advanced, they were talking like; he's going to walk someone here pretty soon, and then the 4th and 5th innings they were both saying someone in our lineup is going to start pounding him, it's getting to that point in the game and then when Nunez hit that double they both said, here it comes! Shortly after the Bo soxs hit that home run and those guys were talking like they knew it was coming against Lynn, it was a matter of time to them. The night before when Gibson was pitching they did not talk like that at all. It was interesting.
  7. Rodney isn't really a closer. He just tends to make things closer.
  8. Actually wouldn't the best trade chip probably be Jose Berrios, probably followed by Royce Lewis?? I mean they could get a load of stuff for those guys?
  9. Yeah, however, with Suter going down with TJ surgery the Brewers need Peralta to pitch. It wouldn't do them any good to bring on Escobar and Dozier and then not be able to have enough pitchers to compete?? I'm with you, I'd love to see Peralta, but I just don't think it helps the Brewers in any way shape or form to give up probably their 3rd or 4th best starter for Escobar and Dozier. Without Peralta they probably won't be in the running anyways?
  10. I think the Twins will be sellers but for some reason I don't know if they will be all in. I kinda think like last year when they shot Garcia off to New York and then Kintzler off to Washington they were in seller mode but then they kinda hung on from there? So I could see one of Dozier or Escobar getting shipped off but not both, I could see Lynn going if anyone wants him and maybe a reliever going away, but I just don't see all of those guys going all at once. JMO
  11. Is it just me, or does Berrios look like he has a little bit of a cross-fire?
  12. Seems to me that if Tampa had even just 5 average starters that they probably wouldnt be doing this? I mean Faria went down and they really don't have a whole lot. Now on the other hand the Twins seem like they have a few average starters floating around, notice Mejia today, but their relievers are questionable so it doesn't seem like a great fit to me in Twinsville??
  13. Almost like an early spring training game??
  14. Luuuucyyy!!!!! You got some splainen to do!!
  15. It's probably at about 5, they need to win their next 5 in a row or their season is over, ovah.
  16. Smoak has always been a cool baseball name?
  17. I know there are some computer gurus out there that can probably figure this out. But my question is.... Have there been any real superstar athletes in baseball that have been sent down to the minors as many times as Buxton has?? I mean I see guys like trout and etc.... When they finally get the call they for the most part, stay up?? I can see being sent down once, but it would be interesting to see how many great players have been sent down multiple time like Buxton has. I would bet there hasn't been many?
  18. It's just me, but I don't think Odorizzi is going to get any better. I think he is an up and down pitcher; he has his moments where he blows people away and looks really tough and then he has other moments like on Friday where he was given an 8 - 1 lead and couldnt make it out of the 5th?? He's ok as a 4th or 5th starter.
  19. Well there you go, the Twins have nothing, so what's the point of not trading Berrios, probably can get a lot of those holes filled if you trade him, won't get hardly anything for those other guys, so might as well trade someone you can really get something for?? I mean whats he any good for if they don't have anything behind him?
