I’d be very upset if the Twins move off of Wallner this offseason. Feel like he’s one of 4 fielders we have that can be a part of a contending team. If he’s in one of his hot streaks during the post season he could give you a chance.

This article fails to mention his sub 700 OPS in 2020-2022. 2023 wasn’t great by any stretch but even that was probably an outlier for an upper 30’s hitter. This is our plan at DH???? I’m confused. Put the money in a piggy bank and let young guys play if this is how we are going to “spend.” Disappointing.

This is like eating a raw salad with no dressing. Probably good for you but it tastes terrible and leaves you unsatisfied. Arraez was fun. Loved watching him play. Did we get good “value” sure but it makes the Twins less watchable IMO.

He simply cant be in the lineup against lefties. A sub 500 OPS is a complete black hole in the lineup on par with a having a pitcher hit. Good right field play ain't making up for that. An average hitter and really good fielder is a solid piece - which is only a reality vs a RH pitcher.....

This article adds to the complete failure of an off-season by the front office. You almost couldn’t have as bad of a year if you were trying to fail. Rule 5, free agency complete whiffs that made the team actually worse, no impactful trade, inability to sign young stars. It couldn’t possibly be worse and historically has to be among the worst of all time. Their ability to evaluate talent was just flat wrong on every level.
