  1. I'm going to Kansas City. Kansas City here I come.
  2. New forum rule: "Twinsnorth49" and "thong" cannot be referenced in the same post. Ever.
  3. Nothing makes me happier Than a haiku jam But you two still leave me sad.
  4. I before E, except after C, And when pronounced as an A, As in neighbor and weigh.
  5. Don't tempt me Arko. My ban finger is getting itchy.
  6. Somehow, you were at least partially to blame, amiright?
  7. As I said last weekend, the Indians may indeed be a little better than the Twins, but not by as much as that series indicated. The dire "we can't compete with this team" proclamations weren't reality. The Twins everyday lineup is good enough to win. And is likely to get better over time.
  8. cranky. You didn't pimp no home run off The Big Train, I can tell you that. Not twice, anyway.
  9. This is where the pitching coach tells Molitor, "He's at 90 pitches, skip. Let's see if he can get through the 5th. Cross your fingers."
  10. No silverware...my house. PS: "ice tea." hahahahahaha
  11. Nevis, MN is in my future. A little big for my tastes, but compromise is part of marriage,
  12. I concur. With both of yous. I'll stay out of New York AND Chicago.
  13. The number of people who seem to WANT the Twins to lose is astounding. Not TRYING is worse than getting beat. By far.
  14. Well this is going pretty well, don't you think?
  15. I agree with this. But I wonder if Brock wasn't referring to putting someone on the 40 man before they're useful.
  16. Two things about curveballs...if a hitter is pretty sure a curve is coming, it's a lot less effective. The other thing about curve balls...it's not the great curveball that you snap off that gets you in trouble. It's that hanger that rolls up there, thigh high, with a big "hit me" flashing neon sign. Throw one bad one for every good one, and you are likely not a very good pitcher.
  17. Bottom line: he must hit better than he has, or he's not going to stay in anyone's lineup. There is no level of defense that makes up for a 50 OPS+. Fortunately, he probably will. He was a good hitter throughout the minors.
