    The most encouraging thing to me has been the pitching and infield defense. I complain about Mauer a lot, but he has turned himself into a really good 1st baseman, and Polanco has looked pretty good.

    Molitor's most difficult and impactful decision wasn't the lineup, it was leaving Santana in to finish the top of the 7th. Not sure I like it, but it worked, and I cut him some slack given his bullpen.

    The reason I was late to the game thread is I had a doctor appointment this afternoon. Nothing serious, just a check up. I was a bit concerned though, when after reviewing my height and weight, he told me he was concerned about my height. "My height?" I said. "Hmmm, that's the first time a doctor has mentioned that. What about my height concerns you? "Well," he said, according to this here chart, at your weight you should be just over 7 feet tall."
