  1. My guess would not much better since they are trying to get ESPN take over the streaming. I think MLB took over because of no other options.
  2. I think they are probably having trouble selling ads. This is the first year and there is no track record. The Big Ten Network went thru this their first couple of years where every other ad was about the Big Ten Network.
  3. Can we please end the Noah Davis experience. He just can't get the job done and I would have to believe he has no future with the team next year.
  4. He is more suited for the bullpen. The point is Detroit was more decisive than the Twins ever are on any player.
  5. There was two outs, so I hope he was running, a Little Leaguer knows this.
  6. Anyone but Gasper, he does not belong on a major league roster and a serious organization would not have him on their roster.
  7. Again a serious organization would not entertain the thought of Gasper on this roster especially as a catcher. I don't care if it is Pereda or Cardenas or some other minor leaguer. But enough with Gasper.
  8. Gasper shouldn't even be on a major league roster. Give Cardenas a shot at least he is a catcher.
  9. The Tigers are moving Paddack to the bullpen after only 6 starts. Another example of how most organizations operate, they expect results. And if they don't get results, they move to other options. The Twins still trot out Gasper in their lineup as a catcher no less. He has one good game in his career but sure the Twins and their excellent development staff will turn him into a above average player.
  10. They already have 5 starters and it will be six when Lopez comes back, no room for Abel. I would think Hatch will be used in long relief.
  11. I am still not sold that Lee is the long term solution but I would rather have him than a 1 year stopgap next year if Culpepper isn't ready. But he has more upside than Fitzgerald or Kiner, so let him play. Keaschall is too young and athletic to make into a DH. He has just over 70 games in professional ball at 2B, put him out there like they are doing and let him play. Not every player is a finished product. If TD had their way Koskie would have never played more than one season for the Twins. This philosophy of playing players everywhere in the minor leagues is not preparing them to play in the major leagues. Give them a position and let them get comfortable and work to improve.
  12. And who would he replace in the lineup. They are going to and should give run to Lee, Lewis and Keaschall until the end of the season. So who the backup middle infielder is does not really matter because they are only going to get a few AB's a week.
  13. It would be nice if the Twins would try something new, actually acquire a proven player and plug them in the rotation or starting lineup. This constant acquiring of players who need work and hope you can get them right is no way to build a team. Taking a shot here or there is one thing but this is the organization's philosophy for nearly every acquistion and it is getting tiresome.
  14. For all of the proponents of piggybacking, this game is the perfect example of why it only works on paper. You have to take into consideration the game situation when the second pitcher comes in. Sometimes a starter needs a little time to settle in and Abel was not going to have that with only a 2 run lead. This was destined to be a disaster from the beginning especially with his command issues. And Lee's error did not help but all pitchers deal with that. Stop with this insanity, it doesn't work. This organization seems to think they are playing Strat-o-Matic, this is real life baseball, give players a role and some continuity. Either send some starters to the bullpen for the rest of the year or send Abel and others to St. Paul to get regular work. They are going to have 8 starters when Festa comes back. They need to make some decisions. Either move guys permanently to the bullpen or trade some starters. All these trades did was bring back more starting pitching similar to what we already had. What happened to trading to strengthen your roster. Now they have an excess of young pitchers that are all very similar to potential outcomes. And they need help in the bullpen, if you are going to struggle, do it with players that have a chance to be on the team next year. Guys like Cabrera and Kriskie should be nowhere a major league mound.
  15. While I agree they should play everyone on the roster where do you play him when he is primarily a middle infielder. Those are the two spots that we have players that need extended playing time and find out what they have for next year. If you want him at 1B then I would concur or even giving Keaschal timel over there but they don't seem inclined to do that.
  16. I am going to watch our next All Star catcher in Tait tonight. Beautiful night for a game in Cedar Rapids.
  17. Where is the rule that a player has to play in AAA. There are plenty of examples of players that have skipped AAA or had very little time there come up and be successful, even at a younger age. If he is ready bring him up and have patience. And do you have reporting that says he won't sign an extension with the Twins.
  18. Neither one will be next year at least not early in the year. Roden is younger so he probably has a longer leash. But Outman will be here at least until next August at the earliest.
  19. Hate it to break it to you, but Outman will be on the 26 man roster next year unless Falvey is fired, which probably won't happen. There is no way Falvey will admit he made a mistake that soon.
  20. Is Rocco giving up on this game already, get someone else in there.
  21. I think Bradley has peaked in his ML career, which is par for Falvey, get somebody on the way down and not up.
  22. Bring in the infield in the first inning, instead of a double play, you give up two runs.
  23. I think Lewis has been better than he has been given credit for. Mackey tweeted a stat showing he has the third best OPS since June. Yes he brings some of the criticism on himself but I think he dug himself a huge hole earlier in the year and it is hard to get out of. See what he can do next year. Julien is not in the plans, if he was he would be starting ahead of Clemens. He has had a longer sustained stretch of success in the major leagues than Clemens but yet he starts a couple of times a week. Clemens is a good bench player but not a starter. And flipping your bat when you are in a 4 for 40 stretch is just unnecessary. As others have said, Falvey and Rocco need to go. At a minimum there needs to be a complete unbiased organizational review of what is working and not working. Because there is a lot not working and this next batch of prospects need to be put in a position to succeed, then if they don't maybe they weren't good enough. But I doubt this will happen without a change in ownership. But something is wrong in this organization and you would think they would want to figure it out.
  24. Buxton has a no trade contract and has made it pretty clear he won't waive it. Have to believe he sees a couple of tough years ahead and still has been pretty adamant about not wanting to be traded. I think at this point his actions say he will be here, so assuming he will be traded is not a good assumption.
  25. And he is in the middle of a 4 for 39 stretch, not the time to be doing a bat flip.
