  1. I like the trade. Rogers can take over Abad's role and this kid has some serious gas.
  2. Good to see Vielma at ss, had a good game. Wouldn't surprise me he moves up to Rochester soon.
  3. Nunez last 15 game stats; 182 BA, 214 OBP, 227SLG vs a southpaw sporting a 2.81 era in the minors this year.
  4. Nunez was dumped by the Yankees, Twins flip him for the Giants 7th rated prospect, per MLB. Not bad Anthony
  5. Oh, want to thank Milwaukee. Brewers for returning Jones back to Twins with the posting check.
  6. Any thought on Zack Jones being considered pitcher of the day? Getting out of a bases loaded jam, no runs, is good stuff. He needs to be moved up to Rochester.
  7. By season end, Kepler will be in running for ROY, he's that good. I also think his best long term position may be 1st
  8. Awesome intro Riverbrain. Actually, surprised you didn't list Wall Drug as No. 5 destination. Anybody going westbound on I90 during mid afternoon with sun beating down on you knows what I'm talking about.
  9. Couldn't agree more. I saw where the White Sox had already promoted Zach Burdi who was drafted this year, to AA. Now, he was greeted to a "Welcome to AA" debut by the Lookouts but the Sox seem to have an aggressive philosophy on promoting their pitchers. Also, agree with your list Seth. I hope to see Reed and Melotakis on the July list.
  10. Good to see Vargas up and playing 1st base. Hope he sticks around.
  11. Starting a forum

  12. Long term woes are result of these ridiculous contracts Ryan made; Hughes, Molasses Nolasco, Santana. Back in 2014, Hughes was like 1 inning short of making $500,000 bonus and declined to pitch. Ryan was so impressed he extends Hughes contract for another 3 years or so. Amazing. The kids will take their lumps but to have mediocre vets stand in the way from promoting kids that are more deserving is what bothers me.
  13. Vielma is having a good year. Considered one of the best defensive ss's in the minors, now his bat has started to come around, 300 plus BA for some time. A little guy, singles hitter, gets on base.
  14. Sano playing 5 innings at 3rd showed the Twins have some sanity. Kepler batting 250 ish with good D should keep him out of the outfield. My guess when Sano is ready, he's back at 3rd and DH, mixing it up with Plouffe and Park being sent down.
  15. Great job Seth, lotta work to put all this together. Liked reading Blankenhorn this, Blankenhorn that. Sounded like a one man wrecking crew. Great to see fellow Georgian Niko start off with a bang. Should be in Chattanooga soon.
  16. Good article Nick, totally agree and yesterday Kepler went 3 for 4, couple of ribs, so would have made no sense to send him down.
  17. 3 days passed and Arcia hasn't been claimed yet, 7 days to go. A backup outfielder that can't catch a fly ball from the worse team in baseball. Yep, here in Atlanta, the Braves have 2 more wins then us.
  18. Read all the post, but still say it's the right decision to cut strings with Arcia. He is no Ortiz. Ortiz with Twins was batting 270's but hurt a lot. Letting him go at the time was and is the biggest fubar of all time. My son in law huge Red Sox fan constantly reminds me.
  19. I actually agree with this decision. He's had 3 years to clean up his D/O and still hasn't done it. He may have talent but if he can't get his head screwed on right it's not going to happen. Don't you think the Twinis have tried to trade him, even for a bag of balls and no one was interested. It's possible he clears waivers and end up in Rochester. I still remember couple years ago watching him for all 3 games in Tampa when things were going good for him, missing cb's by a foot (twisting his underwear in the process), try snapping the bat in half over knee, rinse and repeat, having a flyball miss his glove and hit his shoulder. He's entertaining, that's for sure.
  20. JT got sent down, got things to work on, with a little luck, we should see him up in 2021
  21. Also, wanted to add, the Twins Farm System is top notch in developing these kids, one of the best, if not the best with great coaching, facilities and top notch minor league affiliates. The kids don't see themselves in a failing organization, only the parent club meets that definition.
  22. Been out of town past couple days and noticed your top10 Seth. Glad to see you had Kepler1, Berrios 2. Totally agree with the ranking. While Berrios is polished for his age, Kepler has so much natural ability. By The time players reach AA, most of them appear mechanic driven from all the coaching they have had. Then there's Kepler. He just stands out with his natural talent and can take a game over. Games last year I saw a walk, stole 2nd, easily scored on 1 out single, next at bat doubles, then scored, and etc. it seems like he's always on base. Agree on all the rest, possibly Polanco higher. His bat is something else. I agree on Jay over Gonsalves but barely. Before last years draft, more than one scout said if Jay had been starting, he would have been in play for 1st pick. Great to see JT in top 10 and overcoming injuries and coming back with a vengeance. Here again, I like to compare our top 4 relievers (Chargois, Melotakis, Burdi and Reed) and I have them ranked in that order. JT gets a lot of movement with his FB, same as Reed and Melotakis. Great job Seth
