  1. Love watching Berrios pitch. That high inside fb he uses to set up the hitter is an absolute beauty.
  2. That is a strong, impressive top 5. I have no problem with your ranking.
  3. A big surprise. Hope Twins no what the he// they're doing Hoping for Greene
  4. Surprised there haven't been any leaks by now on who the Twins will take. In past, usually hear X team negotiating with agent. Nothing so far. Hope the Twins take Greene.
  5. This may have already been brought up somewhere in these 10 pages but if the Twins keep Berrios in Rochester until June 27 or so, they get an extra year of service time. Looks like they are just trying to get by until then with these waiver wire pick ups.
  6. Good write up on McKay but I'm still in the Greene camp
  7. They had all off season to decide whether to start or go to the Pen. Instead, the agent waits a month into spring training to announce it, probably after watching Perkins throw 78 mph spit balls. Do I see show me the money
  8. I don't get it, Johnson has been in charge of these drafts and I believe they recently promoted him
  9. Been thinking about this some more, I find it strange that the Agent of a minor leaguer breaks the news that Jay's going to the Pen. Either Jay or the Agent who then convinced Jay to not spend time in the minors but rather fast track to the pen OR they see the Twins sticking with these mediocre starters and not see a future as a starter for a few more years. What good is a so called shut down reliever when mediocre starters are being pulled after 5 innings, down say 4 to 1. The shut down reliever or pen comes in, throws zeroes for 4 innings and the Twins still lose, say 4 to 2 or 3. We all know the chances of winning diminish rapidly when starting out from behind and playing catch up. Kansas City supported their starters with power arm shut down relievers. The Twins seem to be doing this in reverse; lets build a pen first, then hope we get decent starters. I was in favor of drafting Jay and converting to starter, his college coach said at the time, we should of had him as our starter. Jay and the Twins should of given it ONE more stinking year at Chattanooga and maybe even Rochester. Had he been able to throw say 140 innings, he could of been fast tracked next year. Instead, we now wasted the 6th pick in that draft. As someone said earlier, Perk hitting 78 doesn't look good. Maybe that Agent saw this and started smelling some quicker money.
  10. Great news on Stewart, seems short sighted on Jay and Twins part. Season hasn't even started yet and the kids going to the pen
  11. Looking forward to seeing Stewart putting it all together this year. His offspeed stuff improved last year and if he can get his FB back up to mid 90's, we may have something
  12. should be quite the season in Chattanooga. New Manager (Jake Mauer) and hopefully, all the young Twins pitching studs on the same team. So look at what Mauer can trot out there Romero Jay Stewart Gonsalves Jorge Include Gordon at short, Maybe Granite in CF, should be quite the team. May have to camp out few nights at ballpark.
  13. Awfully high ranking for this prospect
  14. If we're looking for defense, why not bring back the great Florimon.
  15. If it's all about projection, then pretty hard to pass on Green. Here's a kid that's already 6'4" and still growing. Hits 102 mph and easily throws 94 to 96 with no effort, yikes. And, has a curve and change up and throws all for strikes. Reminds me of Giolloti (?) from Nats now White Sox that's considered 5th best prospect with more upside and no arm/health issues. Worse case, he's your closer or position player. The Wright kid from Vanderbilt is also intriguing but I really like this Green kid.
  16. English in CF sounds like good trade bait if Bux continues to improve.
