  1. ftfy. Yes. I suppose there might be a seperate day for coaches?
  2. At this rate, could we be the first team to run 9 catchers out there opening day? I approve! This could really catch on...
  3. I hope we win. But i am comfortable letting them move for pitching when they feel it is right. And who knows. They are finding ways for the current pitchers to rise to the challange. Maybe they will?
  4. I don't know... I was hoping for a nice quiet time to get some work done without being distracted by a lot of baseball excitement. Or football excitement for that matter. If ya don't mind, i got a lot of things to catch up on. Enjoy the signing, just don't let it get toooo out of control...
  5. How's our 40 man look? We got room? Or is there an obvious person to drop to make room ie. a pitcher he is better than?
  6. I guess it's not 1987... Oh well. I had hoped. At least don't need to pay attention next week.
  7. It's a game. I hope we can tie the score going into the half.
  8. And future arbitration numbers are based on this year, compounding the difference, as i understand it.
  9. Er... MLBTrade rumors has this: "The Twins announced that they struck deals with Trevor May, Taylor Rogers, Eddie Rosario and Byron Buxton. Buxton earns $3.075MM, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network (via Twitter)."
  10. That's pretty clever. I wonder if there is something can be said about if the "arbi"s have a beef.
  11. Or if messiness does occur, the player(s) takes it to heart and prove(s) themself(ves) with dominant season. Think chip on Denard Span's shoulder.
  12. Did we win yet?
  13. Hey look. Something happened. I am content. (Saying this before i read all 14 pages of comments. I waited to say something about Dozier going to the Dodgers in the next 24 hours, and i was playing catchup until the thread was locked.)
  14. But has Zach been good this year? I am led to believe that is a consideration in the process...
  15. I'm hesitant to look in my stocking...
  16. Ok, your... image has peaked my curiosity. I like it, but would like to hear the circumstances that gave rise to this gifting practice. I guess true love is the greatest. Though haven't tried a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich yet...
  17. It's okay. Goonies make mistakes!
  18. Attention to detail is fun for its own sake. I think i came to this thread two fold: to find out more about the pitcher, and to see who brought up Coulomb's law first. I am still wondering if leaving the e off of Squarole counts as just such an intentional convoluted (not to mention oblique) reference* or not... Which is perhaps again a detail no one else may care about. But thanks. That's one mystery cleared up... *the best kind, of course. Nothing but the best on TD.
  19. Maybe if you only leave one space? This site has an established feature of condensing double spaces after periods (and other punctuation) to no spaces. Maybe that happens before the emojis get populated. Or pick your other favorite white space character. Been a while since i have cared too much about asci. Also i am not wise in the ways of emoji. Someone recently enlightened me about the significance of eggplants and peaches. Which i suppose i was doing okay not knowing, but still, one likes to know what one did wrong...
  20. Clipboard: a universal symbol of authority. That and an enormous keyring, um to lock the game down. Not bad as nicknames go, if you be proposing... I sure hope he lives up to it.
  21. Concur. (well, i am in a high parking area, so sometimes ya can't back in without some one will sneak in behind ya, but indeed my favorite spot is one that is such that it is really only possible to back into, and surprise, more often than not, its free)
  22. I for one welcome healthy competition. Maybe it will help us to deal with those pesky east coast teams...
  23. Wait... we can jinx teams other than the Twins? (but only with fluevogs?)
