  1. I only skimmed some of the longer responses, but it seems to mostly be discussion Buxyon's role with the team goin' forward. I ain't thinkin' that hard, and will content myself with an answer to 'where is Buxton now?" He is cleared to hit off a t? May i assume he is in Fort Myers getting his work in on the complex side of things rather than the fields? Or is he getting said work in back in Georgia with his family?
  2. I don't i really like toppings on my frozen yogurt. What's the point if it isn't smothered in butterscotch?

  4. 3-3 tie. Everyone saves face.
  5. Begs the question, though, if we are seeing the mild mannered side of RB on TD...
  6. 1-0 Twins in 3rd, a Cruz Homer, and a Gordon ground out (sharp). But i caught my retorical question, eh?

  8. "Who says the week is out?" (obligatory Mrs. Lovett response)
  9. It's Spring Training... anyone can have an off day. (is this when minor league camp opens and we have to say bye to a bunch of folk on the major league side of things?)
  10. Oh and good job on the game thread. That means we won, right?
  11. Yeah, Spring Training gameday updates doesn't go into pitch by pitch detail, so pitch stats interpolate the minimum # of pitches to be consistent with other results, ie 3 strikes for k and 4 balls for a walk, and 1 for a ball in play. With an added pitch if something like a stolen base happens. It is kinda fun to see the line and figure out what it'll say the pitch count is from that.
  12. Concur. But i am still curious.
  13. A nice read and all, but i am still trying to wrap my mind around how evaluate depth... It feels like the ordering here is more dependent on the position in general than our team. Of course pitching is deeper, as the roles are less sppecifically defined than positions. And up the middle positions are shallower because more demanding. So kudos to Twins for apparently bucking that trend at catcher? Anyway, i am glad we are deep. And i look forward to our continued positional flexibility.
  14. Would signing Dorothy or Toto count as impact pitching?
  15. How long has it since the Twins won a ST game? How long has it been since we tried to have a game thread? Pure coincidence, i'm sure. But here is a thread what can serve as a game thread for those too lazy to start one. Right now St. Louis has them on the ropes 6-0...
  16. I just hope he gets better. Bost gastrointestinally and on the baseball field. Happened to be at the game that ended his season last year, and can't shake that maybe i jinxed 'im.
  17. "Sliderman, Sliderman, see all the batters those sliders fan." Sorry... got carried away therefor a moment.
  18. Well, sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes the bar, well he eats you. And um, sometimes everybody goes hungry. Except for the Mr. Cave, apparently.
  19. I hope he steals a hit from someone else... And Dobnak is the pitcher for that. I'm feelin' lucky!
  20. The Wayback machine crashes and sends Sherman and Peabody to present day Florida to learn about the beginnings of the Twin Cities Baseball Empire. We knew the Y2k bug would catch them eventually. Twins: 0. Randy Dobnak (R ) P 1. Jake Cave ( L) RF 2. Trevor Larnach ( L) DH 3. W. Astudillo (R ) C 4. Brent Rooker (R ) LF 5. Royce Lewis (R ) SS 6.
