    Bert says that he knows the fans are frustrated, but they shouldn't give up on this team...times like these (3 errors so far, 3 unearned runs, numerous cutoffs missed, 1 fly ball missed...) I have to ask myself what would the Dazzleman do? I can't think that he's sugarcoating this abomination.

    Thank you sir! I've decided to step back and take a Uekeristic approach to the rest of the season. Bob Ueker once said "Hey, I think it's easy for guys to hit .300 and stay in the big leagues. Hit .200 and try to stick around as long as I did; I think it's a much greater accomplishment. That's hard." The way I see it, most of the Twins players might already be taking this approach. When you think about it, they are going above and beyond in a Bob Ueker way.

    Hey wait a minute! Atlanta without Graham is a lousy 9-28 after giving up Graham while we are at 10-27 with him...but now we trade him to the Yankees who are 16-21. Shrewd move! Bring the hated Yankees down to our level.

    MLB is not for development is what some seem to be saying. OK, so what was the plan for Sano in right field then? Seems to me, we've been using the MLB as a development plan for quite a while now...e.g. Jason Bartlett in left field.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to a plan of sending Berrios down and having him work on control or whatever. To me, send a bunch of guys down. Have them work on their game and then bring them up to stay after the trade deadline. What's driving me nuts is the constant yoyo between majors and AAA.

    Rebuild his confidence? First of all, if one bad start shakes his confidence, there's nothing in AAA that is going to help that. Second, if his confidence wasn't shaken, sending him down to AAA after a bad start might do just that. There is nothing to be gained by sending him down other than to open up a spot for a veteran to get some starts....and hopefully build trade value.

    Well, I think what you said actually supports what Seth is saying. Send the young guys down now. Get them everyday playing time while doing the same for the vets to hopefully build trade value. After the trade deadline, call them up and play them.

    Hey, at this point, a plan...any plan...is better than floundering around taking shots on these guys. I like it.

    I would say that the first point is somewhat likely, the second point won't happen which then eliminates the third point. More likely - first prediction happens, Ron Gardenhire is brought in to fill Ryan's position, the Twins auger in for back to back 35 win seasons while the Cubs win back to back to back world series. Not saying that will happen, just saying it is more likely than the scenario laid out by Ruesse.

    I've watched it at least a dozen times and it sure looks like he drops his arm angle pretty low and the result of the throw was not at all close to first base. In the end, any guesses on the fallout? I'm not sure Bautista gets more than a game if anything. I'll guess 4 for Odor which will get appealed. I would guess anyone else doing any aggression on the field gets a game or two depending on if they threw a punch. So, here's another angle...if batters can flip bats to celebrate a home run, etc., what's the equivalent for a pitcher. I remember guys blowing on their index finger like a gun after a K. I think Eck used to celebrate after a K. Goose Gossage used to just give an icy stare.

    OK, back to the topic on hand with apologies for getting off topic. Anyone think that Odor's throw to first went so wild due to him possibly trying to hit the incoming runner? Even if it nicks the incoming runner, it's an automatic out. I don't think he's above doing that as he isn't really known as a nice guy. Not sure if that is taught or condoned in MLB circles.

    I'm not accusing. I am questioning and I am not naive enough to think that someone suddenly finds their swing after 6 years in the majors and over 2000 at bats with only 59 home runs. Positive test? Arod never tested positive either.

    The curious thing about Joey Bats is that he gets all defensive if asked about PED's. I think it's fair to question it. I think he should expect the questions. After hitting only 59 home runs in his first six seasons, over the course of 575 games and 2,038 plate appearances, Bautista exploded in 2010, hitting 54 home runs with 124 RBI and 109 runs while taking 100 walks and leading the AL with 351 total bases. Not only were the numbers all career highs, but many of Bautista's numbers were better than the combined totals of any two previous seasons combined. Yikes! I don't care who the player is, you bust out like that and people are going to ask questions. Personally, I've thought that Toronto was a hotbed for PEDs for years...never mind baseball. When Anthony Galea (Sports medicine Dr. for Arod and Tiger Woods) got caught coming from Toronto into the US with HGH...and this wasn't his first run in involving illegal PEDs...it set off a red flag. Chris Colabello was busted earlier this year for steroids. I know. I'm off topic. Not trying to fire up a whole debate. Just my 2 pennies on Joey Bats.

    Exactly. That's the corner that we have painted ourselves into. Hopefully, with season being over already, we will pull the trigger and not wait any longer and start playing the future.

    OK, so put yourselves in another teams shoes. You know the Twins need to move some players. Are you going to offer them anything of value for those players? Not if you're smart.

    The fact of the matter is that the Twins have painted themselves into a corner by hiring, rehiring, and shoehorning the same people over and over. Would Bill Smith have been given a position in any other organization? Probably not. Was Ron Gardenhire swooped up by another organization in the year that he sat on his couch? Nope...but the Twins found spots for both of them in the organization. If you were a candidate for the GM position, is this a situation that you would want to step into? Think about it for a second. An existing GM isn't going to want to come to the Twins. First time GM's are the only candidates that are going to consider the position. Now consider that you are basically stepping into a family owned, family run, good old boy club business. And you think you're going to clean house? Not going to happen.

    I'm thinking baseball might be more interesting if the team at the bottom of the division by 10+ games is granted a waiver on PED testing. I mean why waste the money? If you are 10+ games out and you're already doing PEDS, you really, really suck and you should get a waiver on testing anyway. On the other hand, if your 10+ games out and you just suck, maybe some PEDS will kick start the season and make it more interesting. I know, with insightful thinking like that, you're probably thinking I should be the commish and I couldn't agree more.

    Oh come on now. We wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by dropping them too far in the order...well, maybe just Santana, but that's all the feelings we want to hurt. Too many hurt feelings just brings the whole team down and we can't have that or we'll start losing...oh wait...already losing...well, we can't have it because we might lose by more.
