    This from today's BA chat: Jaypers413 (IL): Thanks for the chat, Matt. Do you think what the Rays got back in return for Jepsen qualifies as a steal? (i.e. Tapia & Hu) Matt Eddy: IMO just freeing up payroll and a 25-man roster spot would have been a winning return for a mediocre, 30-year-old reliever. Instead, the Rays got a command-oriented starter prospect (Chih-Wei Hu) and a raw-armed wild card (Aleix Tapia) whose floor appears to be Kevin Jepsen.

    I guess it clears up 3B for their new 30 year old rookie 3B also....... I still like this for CLE. Cut costs in the future (by taking on extra money this year), so you can sign players if you want. And, a 2 for 1 on bad deals......

    You choose to make those actions "jerky". There is literally nothing inherently, in their very existence, that makes them "jerky". It is all on you deciding they are jerky. 100%, your decision inside your head. I have no problem throwing inside, I have tons of problems intentionally hitting someone.

    Corriea....best SS in al of baseball meets your criteria mostly (well, he played AAA this year, and didn't skip it like Buxton did). Sano, I believe, meets most of your criteria. Go look at the lists if you want to know the answers to your questions, more than you think.

    MN doesn't have a pitcher? I agree, it is unlikely Bernie or Hilary could pitch, but at least they should try.

    I think he's an elite prospect that doesn't need to be babied. EVERY other elite prospect from this year's lists is up, and playing. Is every other team wrong, or is Buxton just not that good? I accept that they can keep him down for service reasons, I don't have to like it as a fan.

    Oh boy, another chance to talk about how admiring a HR is somehow disrespectful to the other team and the game...... Twins lost because they aren't as good as the Jays, no complex analysis needed, imo.

    The more I think about it, the more I hate this take. The REAL downside is he's not on the field producing, and now there is a tiny chance they'll start him in AAA next year. That's the real downside, imo.

    I'm with SD Buhr......if you are worried about options on Buxton, this team is in BIG trouble. If they are so worried about 2020 and beyond that they don't put on him on the roster day 1 next year, well, why would anyone buy a ticket from these guys. Try to win, please.

    List the RP they've drafted and developed the last 4 years.......it's not a one off problem, is it? For some people, it is never the FO or the coaches or the process.....
