    That is a good point on Rosario and his likely ceiling.......maybe I just don't trust Hicks enough right now.

    Well, KC seems to do with light/medium hitting corner OF who play good to elite defense, so I think you are still under rating OF defense. IF I was trading one to make room for Kepler (which I wouldn't do, but that was the question), I'd deal Hicks. IMO, he's the least likely to hit and field, but some team will see this year as a corner turner and offer value for him.

    I'm very glad Escobar is doing well. I hope they give him the job next year. I see 13-14 wins the rest of the way as a reasonable projection.

    This isn't about one game, I am asking when/if we can expect them to be more than the 5th best team, a team that beats the bad teams, but doesn't win the games against good team..... It's too bad we can't talk about the gophers and what we want to see, and have to talk about me.....like Ben did. He actually talked about the team, and I appreciate that. Ben, how much better do you expect the OL to be this year, I haven't had a chance to look at that at all yet?

    I agree, it takes time....it is year 5....how many years until we can expect them to be one of the 2-3 best big # teams occasionally, not to lose bowl games they are favored in, and to win games against winning teams not just the dregs? If we shouldn't judge a coach on Wins and Losses.....how should we? When he gets a QB, they will have a chance, but so far, there is no evidence he can get a QB, so far.

    I have no faith that this team will beat good teams consistently, or win any bowl game. There just isn't evidence it is happening. Kill got them respectable again, I guess that's worth $2.5MM a year now. Another year where they beat up on the bad teams, but no cookie at the end.

    Wasn't my intent .... But I see how it came across that way. It was more the"real fan" part that comment was aimed at, as if some fans were superior to other fans. Apologies.

    I'd like Vargas, Kepler, a 3rd catcher and whatever pitchers they want on top of Berrios. Not sure I care at all beyond that.

    No, it isn't like that. That actually impacts your ability to watch the movie. Missing 2 seconds of game time, if that, every 2 minutes or so? that has no impact, really.

    A big change was spending big money on the bullpen (ahem) to go from one of the worst to one of the best in 1 year. Their GM deserves a ton of credit.

    Classic sunk cost situation with Graham...."I invested this much, I can't just cut him now" Achter Tonkin One of your other favorites, like Thompson, Wheeler, Darnell Pinto none of them are as valuable to the Twins this year, or as trade bait, as having Berrios in MN and helping them make the playoffs this year.

    Right. I used to run pinewood derby races....there are all kinds of links on the internet about what "best" really means, and how to judge it.......

    First, there is no real "fair" way to do the schedule. Teams change throughout the year, players get hurt, etc........so this concept that there is some "fair" way to judge who is the best team is really hard to pull off. What does best even mean? Isn't the team with the best record after 162 games really the best team, the playoffs really don't reflect that. While a balanced schedule and no divisions probably make things more fair, I'm not sure it increases entertainment, since it reduces rivalries and other things......

    According to actual studies, limits on increasing innings don't have any correlation to injury. It's junk science. Call him up. Between Molitor and Ryan, they can figure out a role for them all. The goal is to have the best people here, giving them the best shot to make the playoffs.

    Cotts is a FA, I believe, after this year. Burdi is never going to be a starter.....
