Danny Santana and Grossman? No. No. No. They are both terrible MLB players, terrible. Mind. Boggling. Truly. I don't get the Plouffe thing. He won't be here when they are good. Sano should be trying 3B for half a year. If Sano fails at 3B, I would have signed a AAA type 3B as insurance.
I'm still looking for someone that said full rebuild.... Ryan spent the last 5 years telling us they were going to compete, St. Peter did also. I just want honesty. Good leaders are honest. Not in a negative way, but they are honest.
I would, otherwise they are lying and setting people up to be disappointed. Just admit you are rebuilding, and that your actions are all about putting the best team out there in the mean time, but our goal is to be great in 2 years.....
If they think they are going to be competitive, and can't just admit they are rebuilding, not sure what has actually changed....so let's hope those are empty words.
Strongly considering selling every stock in my retirement accounts Monday....at worst I lose a few points of gain. At more worst, I keep from losing twenty it thirty percent next week
It will be good to see what happens, it was time for change. It should, at least, lead to some good theater.* *I hope that doesn't sound cold, I know some people will lose jobs in this transition, and that sucks.
A one game sample is not 162 games.....the best pitchers pitched the most. That's good managing, not bad managing. Are you suggesting they should have pitched their less good RPs more? I am not sure what you are arguing..... The did trust their players. They trusted the best ones to be good/great. I am not sure I get what you are arguing.
1991 was good, but I'm not sure it was fun for casual fans at all..... I too thought Francona did a better job than Maddon. Still love them both as managers, and they make Molitor look, well, I'll be polite I guess...
