  1. It was very well written indeed. After day 1, I was confused, I'll admit it. But, once people explained why Leach would go before Enlow, it made a lot more sense. Still not exactly what I would have done, but at least they took some upside pitching. And Rooker is intriguing, I hope they push him up fast to start.
  2. Agreed, there is nowhere else for him to be than in the MN Twins' lineup.
  3. Just a guess.....but partly that, and partly they played 7 inning games, and they wanted the bullpen to get work in both.
  4. Yes, but that's super risky. Why not just take the one guy you really like? It looks like the Yankees may have tried something like that this year, but it's hard to tell exactly what they were thinking.
  5. None of those guys were 22 yo college players, other than the RPs.....who got hurt. Think more Matt Garza, or look at what other teams do with college seniors.
  6. So Rooker won't be here for 4 years? Wright and McKay won't be in the majors for 4 years?
  7. I don't think you can call him a star just yet....and he's not just a little behind Correa. He can't even see Carlos from how far behind he is. BTW, elite level players are USUALLY elite level players by 23 or 24. That's part of why they are elite, they are already among the best at a young age, and stay that way. We've seen very little evidence he can hit yet. OTOH, his defense is quite impressive. Amazing even.
  8. was he picked? Gotta go back to school, right?
  9. I think that's fair for the waiver guys, not so much Belisle and Breslow. We should expect the waiver guys to fail, really.
  10. In general I agree, but I do think it could be changed/improved some.
  11. the commissioner admitted he only knew a handful of names of potential picks. How is that possible?
  12. it's working just fine on my phone. FLYING.
  13. I think we are in a leveling off spot right now. Unless you need the cash....
  14. You can't have TD and that open in the same browser, I guess. On my phone, they are in round 12....
  15. Pretty sure Jeremy said they spent all the savings, so we should expect fliers and fillers, imo.
  16. I wonder how that impacts what they pay Lewis now?
  17. It certainly isn't impressive, when you add in Tepesh, Breslow, Belisle, et. al. Have any of these guys even been servicable?
  18. I had the same thought, and clearly the FO agrees.
  19. Assuming all those players sign for the same money....... they must just like Lewis more than McKay, Wright, Greene.
  20. that's partly because teams are passing on the great players now, since they probably won't sign. Only a handful of late picks signed for "big" money last year, IIRC.
  21. My guess is that, since there are hundred of people posting on this site, those aren't all the same people?
  22. They tire. There is another type 1 diabetic draft eligible that is falling, according to reports, (partly) for that reason. Right or wrong, that's the belief of the industry. I don't think it should be, but clearly teams do according to what I read online. welcome the site!
  23. I'd ask, how does teh drafting of Lewis effect Eddie Rosario or Byron Buxton..... The Twins have a very good pipeline of SS right now. Lewis is 3-6 years away. Gordon could be in MN this fall if he keeps hitting like this, though I'd guess next spring.
