    I'm literally talking about mentoring this year.....next year I expect a FA and a trade for a veteran (assuming they deal one or both of Maeda/Pineda).

    I got a giant weed/bush out of the garden, so that's been good. I actually wrote a couple pages in my draft novel, so that's good. I am very conflicted on the Berrios deal. While it is a good deal, Jose is a legit good pitcher. But getting something for Happ? Mind. Boggling.

    Though if they deal another starter, I could see them doing it. Not that he can throw strikes, or strike guys out (when starting).

    100% he's in the rotation if they deal Pineda or Maeda. 80% even if they don't. They now have two openings.

    Since moving to the bullpen in June, he's given up 2 runs in 11 appearances. And they got another guy. Unreal.

    Sure, if they got one of the best prospects in the game, I do it......but that seems pretty unlikely. They need at least one veteran to mentor the young guys this year.

    I don't care what Gant and the other guy do, that is impressive. Truly. They could have zero veteran pitchers on the roster soon......which is NOT GOOD.

    They barely line up for Robles or Happ......just say no.

    They've traded one guy under contract for next year....and did a great job in 19 and 20 (and getting there). I really don't know what they've done that is so awful (so far).

    Lovecraft country was cancelled, after getting nominate for a record amount of Emmy's....one can only surmise why.... Ted Lasso Still haven't finished Schitt's Creek...but we will Shmigadoon was hard to watch (only watched one so far, the songs are TOO LONG) For All Mankind The Morning Show Shadow and Bone (we only watched one so far, we'll go back once we start watching more tv again)

    I'd call up every young guy that they think could start next year for 2-3 games. Get their feet wet. 100% they sign a guy like Pineda or better as a FA, imo. Unless they blow up the team. I also think we'll see a trade for a guy with 2+ years of control left. Ryan, Ober, Dobnak, Winder and Balazovic will all pitch for MN next year, but only 2 will start the year in MN, imo. I've been suggesting Means for a few weeks now. They have the depth to do that.

    Everyone loves Buxton......The phillies would need to send like 8 guys to make this even possibly ok. Their system sucks. And then only if the Twins could deal those for other MLB players.

    Of course if they don't work out it will be bad....but man*, some posters here just hate the idea of trading even expiring contracts, yet somehow want the team to have a great team (not sure where they expect to get players, frankly). *not just men, but women, and not necessarily you.
