    No chance he's in the second round. At worst, someone trades back into the twenties to take him, imo. Otherwise, he's not worth taking until the third. You either think he's a legit starter, or you don't.

    The idea that contending teams don't deal players for prospects seems off to me, but I could be wrong. I think he plays for MN to start the year, though, and they don't deal him.

    I'm with you, I'd rather pick as early as possible, but I'm not with you that going is embarrassing.

    I mean, as I've said.....if they believe one of these 3-5 guys is an elite starter, they should deal up for him. I'm all in on any of the top 3 and Penix as being elite or top 15 in the league. Then Nix. Then McCarthy, I guess, though I've seen nothing that indicates he can carry a team with his arm. I'm not dealing up for Nix or McCarthy, and may deal down to take one of them and pick up a 2nd/3rd if I think they are legit starters (which I think Nix is).

    I don't think they'll need to move up for Penix, but he's so accurate, so maybe? Also, no way Penix goes before Daniels, imo.

    that wasn't aimed at you at all. Luzarado was about the 25th best pitcher last year....so I get why you want him. I don't get why Miami would trade him w/o the kind of insane haul you point out. I would NOT make that trade, but I get why that might be the price (again, I think Seattle overpaid for Castillo).

    Also, Julien only played 109 games....if he plays 150 at that rate, he puts up 4.2 fWAR.....with more years of control left than Arraez, a lot more. I don't know that people understand how good Julien and Wallner were last year in their limited playing time.

    Jenkins is the number 1 pick in many drafts, if not most. That value is insane. So I get this. If I was certain Lewis could play more than 60 games a year, I'd likely have him 1, since he's in the majors....but he's been hurt three years in a row now. I'm shocked the Jeffers "haters" aren't here yet, but I agree he's in the top 10 (nor sure where exactly).
