  1. So, no credit for coaching at the MLB level? If anyone thought he was a number three when traded, he'd have brought back a lot more than he did. We'll just disagree, I'm ok with that.
  2. I guess we'll just disagree, given how he compared to all the other LF last year. I'm ok with that
  3. We just going to litigate this in every thread now?
  4. I'm suggesting they developed him to what he is. In response to saying they've developed no one. He was 77th in era last year among pitchers throwing 100 innings or more, so ya, he's a number three.
  5. He had the second highest wtc+ of all LF last year. What would have impressed you?
  6. Are you suggesting Ryan was a finished product when they acquired him? He was a number three pitcher traded for three months of a DH?
  7. Nah. If he fails here, someone will sign him. He's likely better than what Chicago or Oakland is fielding....
  8. No. Alas. Except Martin is playing OF, so yes?
  9. I agree with others, if Farmer isn't here to backup SS, why is he here, especially with the budget cuts? Really confused at the decision making here.
  10. Maybe they will call up one of those guys and need Kemp to replace them? Not that this veteran loving FO would do that...
  11. Why anyone would down vote a hopeful post like this is truly mind boggling. Truly.
  12. I'm with you on larnach, though he's actually been better than I thought, it's expectations that make judging him hard. He's been a league average hitter the last two years! Which most here wouldn't believe.
  13. Fair. Let's see how long Bowman lasts....
  14. I'm annoyed they want lots of mediocre guys so they have depth, instead of just going with the better players that have options. But, this is their MO.....
  15. He might need to go down for a month or so..... As some of us said in the off season, he was great last year, but he might go down at some point this year and then come back. I'm not sure we're at that point yet, but we're at least close. As for Martin, they should have been relying on him last post season and to start this year....
  16. I see the young hitters were good, and the veterans were not.....hmmm.....
  17. I'll bet good money this isn't the "one last time" you post on this :) I have no idea what they were thinking, but it wasn't what I was thinking....
  18. Other than Burnes, was any good starter traded? Would Milwaukee even want Polanco? I mean, I would have preferred a different tac, but I'm not sure what really could have been done other than spending money, which this FO (and most that aren't big markets) don't do for SPs at all.
  19. No updates on Lee or Jenkins? Nothing?
  20. Oddball Herrera 2:16 Is Buxton cooked at this point? It sure has been a long time since he looked good at the plate Ben Clemens 2:16 Look earmuffs, twins fans yeah, I don't think he's remotely as bad as he looks right now, but the explosiveness doesn't seem to be there The one thing he has going for him is that he's still hitting the ball hard and still running fast.... but like, significantly lower on both coutns than in 2022 I think there's hope for him to be a competent major leaguer and a good defensive center fielder but it does seem like the injuries have taken their toll vis a vis being a true best-in-game star
  21. Agreed. At least 6 weeks.....but I mean, I'd just move him to the big club at that point if he's dominating and Wallner and Larnarch are bad and kepler is hurt/Kepler.
  22. Won some money! We watched WAAAY less than normal, as we were busy (golfing and wine tasting) this weekend. Well, she tasted wine, I picked weeds and caught up on stuff around the house after being out of town. Pretty anti-climatic, and I agree with an article I read that 16-18 should be harder on Sunday (and 17 is kind of lame).
  23. always good to attack a mod.....
  24. Interesting choice to send alcala down.... Keeping their options available?
  25. Stop making me cry early in the morning, or mourning....
