  1. I'm all in on Burrow.... I think he needs to be traded after June one. Also, if the Jets get him, he'll be unhappy there, but they should also trade for Addison to help burrow..
  2. I agree with some of this for sure.....as almost every prospect reporter said Lewis was destined for 3rd or CF.....almost as the pick was announced. Heck, they kept Martin at SS, when it was 100% clear he'd never play there. I don't get it at all. Doing the same with Winokur, who will never play SS in MN.
  3. Or....they blew up the bullpen because they think RPs are over rated relative to other players, and are more variable year to year, not to tank. In any event, the third pick should be a very exciting player! I'm hoping elite college arm.....
  4. Keaschell just being the same makes him >>>>> than what they had most of the year at 2B (or even first if he moves there).
  5. From Fangraphs: The Athletics’ first rounder out of Arizona back in 2022, Susac was seen as a high-floor selection at the time due to his ability to catch. He has good hands, reportedly works well with the staff, and should be at least an average defensive catcher. The bat hasn’t come along at all, though. Despite decent surface level stats, Susac is overly aggressive, and his slow bat and surround-the-ball swing are unlikely to translate well against elite arms. He projects as a backup or third catcher depending on how much you like the defense. Might a family connection have played a role? Susac is the younger brother of Andrew Susac, who was Giants GM Buster Posey’s backup at one point. — BG Bonus Trade Report: Caraballo, 17, is a physical switch-hitting catcher with power and on base skills. He is not a very good defender yet. — EL
  6. Ya, I don't see how people are critical of this. They got a prospect for 100K. How is that bad?
  7. Love the creativity of this idea! I don't think I'd do this, though. But, it is an intriguing idea.
  8. I remain amuised how worried people are this team will lose someone...
  9. Same. But I'm happy they tried to add to the system. Literally zero risk here. Other than I guess Susac becoming a star.
  10. I don't think, and I'm not kidding, you are hard enough on Careys Grinch.
  11. Big fan of A Christmas Story!
  12. I don’t rewatch stuff much……but if either of the first two die hard are on, I’ll watch. Scalzi does comfort watch lists every year…..which are not holiday movies….
  13. And, the White Sox get the first pick.....of course.
  14. Refuses to evolve is my guess.
  15. I don't understand your point? I'm suggesting not signing him again.
  16. I'd guess they all get a pass, hahaha, for playing with McCarthy.
  17. I didn't use it as an example not to sign any player. I used it as a reason not to sign that player.
  18. I'm not sure what the Realmuto trade has to do with this one?
  19. I was literally responding to signing Vazquez again. I'm not sure your point.
  20. Most of the comments are questioning this, btw....I'm not saying I agree or not.....Steamer likes their hitters A LOT more than I do.
  21. I mean, you can actually go read the answer to your question.....
  22. If I'm the Mike you mean....looking at one bad year of Wallner instead of all his years is not what I'm interested in at all. Looking only at BA or RBI (which is a function of players on base in front of the hitter) is not ideal, but not awful either. Wallner was not good last year. I'm not giving up on him like so many here are. I think people appear to have no idea how low batting averages are these days, when comparing to teams even 10 years ago, let along 30-40 years ago. I'm super not interesting in signing mediocre veterans to block the four AAA players you mention as possibilities at all. Like, I'm very uninterested in watching guys that aren't all that good who they won't DFA. At least with them, there is hope. My solution to the OF is Roden and Martin to start the year, with Wallner at DH and sometimes in RF. Buxton in Center. I'd prefer Jenkins or EmRod start in MN over one of those, but that isn't happening with this team, I think. If Roden and Martin aren't good, call up the next guy. I don't have a strong feeling for OF 4/5 as the backup. Preferably not someone old and bad.
  23. hahahaha. We can hope.....
