  1. I agree with this article. I'd move him to the bullpen and get him in MN next year.....if not this. Griffin Jax is making a lot more money being a RP in the majors than a AAAA starter....
  2. I'd take the chance and deal him. He's likely not the difference between advancing in the playoffs and not, not for this team. But NO CHANCE this happens, imo. Frankly, I'd embrace the future this year, and see what they have/need next year.....and deal Kepler for sure as part of that (maybe Santana and put Julien there?). See if Wallner is fixed or not. Get Rodriguez up here when healthy. I'd even deal Buxton (yes, he can be traded if properly incentivized), but I can't see that either.
  3. we officially have him on the starter/reliever line until we see him stretched out more than he has been so far. I'm not sure we read that sentence the same way.
  4. DeAndrade and Gonzalez are big droppers relative to others (from what I hear).
  5. boushley winder headrick are options for what? DFA? They aren't netting ANYTHING in a trade.
  6. Ya, there is no "wash" there at all. You don't deal long term assets for a 2B who has zero power and can't field at all when you have Julien and Lee in AAA and Castro in MN.
  7. I posted the link elsewhere, I assume someone will write an article about it.
  8. Raya is top 100, and Keaschell is on some lists, and will be on Fangraphs at season's end. Gonzalez is on some lists. That's 1-3 top 100 guys......
  9. 93rd overall on Fangraphs (they released the MN list today)......they really like him.
  10. The prospects (they certainly don't agree with others on a few guys!) https://blogs.fangraphs.com/minnesota-twins-top-44-prospects-2024/
  11. I'd prefer Festa, to see what he is (for next year also, not just this year). They need to get some info on these guys, IMO. I'd bet money on Varland. Good luck to Paddock!
  12. Apparently not. They are only playing him at short, like we ever want CC not there in the next few years.... It seems odd.
  13. I thought you were arguing WPA was not useful, and we should just let readers tell us about the game? I guess I didn't understand your post at all. My bad.
  14. We couldn't pick all our peas "in time"....so they are a bit big and not great (esp the pods), so I'll be picking them tomorrow and shelling them to make soup or somesuch..... I really should figure out how I'm supposed to grow onions, as most of them are above ground now. Do I cover them like potatoes?
  15. I doubt the readers here have put in the time to analyze every play in the history of MLB to determine how much one play changes the odds of a win......which is different than telling the story of a game. No one state does that, or even tries to do that.
  16. Not to mention, Ober got plenty of fWAR and a lower ERA and a win....so he got plenty of stats and credit.
  17. Why are we being confrontational, when we are simply disagreeing about a draft strategy? I love your work, doesn't mean I can't disagree with it, does it? I'm really baffled by your tone here, both posts. I thought we were having a conversation about draft strategy, not equal rights for all.
  18. If only there was a way for lee to get time at 2B before coming up.....
  19. sure, just not round 1......you are looking at such a tiny chance of it working, can you really not take a player 10x more likely to work out in round 1? I think the math there is easy.
  20. Look at the stats. There's a reason teams avoid them. There are numerous articles about this on the Internet. It's not me saying this, it's professionals like Keith Law and the fangraphs people.
