Except they keep running the old guys out, especially the bullpen. They are doing nothing for the future there. You can't build it in one year, so they need to start now. And they aren't.
I mean, they'll be further back by the time they trade him.... So I doubt they'll be delusional at that point. They could have had a top, top, prospect plus in the off season..... Oh well.
No idea what happened to SWR, he needs to go to the bullpen if Ryan is healthy.
I understand "any given Sunday" , but losing two of three to the Nationals is awful. Do people still think the former manager was actually the problem? It's the GM, owners, and players....
Trout never lead his team to the WS either. That's not how you judge an individual in baseball.
I hate to break it to you, but home runs score a lot more runs than singles in modern baseball. It's very, very, hard to string together hits against these pitchers.
I understand the frustration, but you need to keep playing Keaschell, unless you believe a reset is the fix. He's part of the future, or he's not. But playing some old guy isn't the answer, not this year, not with how they constructed this team.
It's not always..... But this team, as the owner was willing to spend, was never going to be good. In context, trading those guys was the right move for the future. When The present is lost, you need to look to the future. IMO.
Certainly possible. I have real doubts. For every guy you can list, there are dozens who never improve. You have to keep running him out there..... But I'm not holding my breath he's ever anything more than average, if that.
Not trading Ryan this off season looking dumber and dumber, as many here feared. Let's hope he's ok, mostly because he's a person, but also for the teams sake.
It's hurts my brain people slide into first.
Another great write-up, thanks
Why would a terrible team deal for an old RP? That makes zero sense. If they can sign him, I might do it, but again, I'm not sure I care for more old guys on this roster.....
Probably should have been dealt? I understand why you typed that, but everyone but Tom pohlad knows he should have been, if they were going to gut the payroll.
