  1. It is 100% possible Ryan hid this. Ash missed my point....if they knew Ryan was hurt, they 100% should not have been buyers by trading prospects.
  2. I'm amazed people have watched what this family has done year after year, and still think they'll spend money on the team.
  3. As much as I want to see Jenkins, I'm promoting EMMA as soon as he plays three games in a row w/o being hurt. ASAP, and putting him in C or L, with Larnach at DH.
  4. The team knew this, and still traded for the present year, and not the future? Sigh.
  5. I mean, I'd have dealt him in the off season.......sigh.
  6. Stupid CLE, NYY, and Det....just stupid calling up rookies.
  7. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/08/reds-hunter-greene-injured-list-elbow.html
  8. sigh. I hate that I really didn't like him after actually watching him play. I continue to be amazed how wrong teams get this all the time (I get you have to keep trying....but still). What would you need back to deal him? It's a PR disaster, but you can blame the previous GM.....unless he suddenly gets good elsewhere.
  9. I'd bet good money Emma is up before Jenkins. And we don't see Jenkins this year (i'd bet less money on that).
  10. Emma. He's on the 40 (though he might be up sooner than that).
  11. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/free-agents/available/_/year/2027 Zero 1B I want on that list. Go big or go home on a SP, that's what I'd do if they are really committed to spending lots of money. They have Jenkins, Houston, Culpepper and plenty of catching in 28 and beyond.....sign a great SP.
  12. It also discourages them from bringing them up earlier. So, it isn't clear it works? I'm not sure.
  13. Just put Culpeper at 2nd and Houston at SS, move Clemens to first. There won't be many/any 1B better than Clemens available, imo. They need a C and ace type pitcher. I'm not sure how they can possibly spend money there, unless they deal for an expensive one.
  14. How has signing awful veterans worked out? I see the whole picture just fine.
  15. Twins got money for Hoffman next year, so had to pay more in prospects, if that is any indication....over a few million dollars....
  16. Masterful isn't the word you are describing, though. Where are you spending money? Look at the FAs......If Houston or Culpeper isn't the starting SS next year, I'll be flabbergasted. Truly. I'd have them both up, with Houston at SS, KC at 2b, and Clemens at 1b.
  17. You better be right, they gave up a late first/early second round pick for him, according to Fangraphs. That's a lot for a guy that hasn't ever been great.
  18. Masterfully? Holy cow. But, the commitment to spend is good.
  19. Agreed, except I didn't think they are acting like contenders. All the moves and more importantly, non moves, were marketing, imo.
  20. Neither can Gray. Well, I guess he can run? But that's no reason for him to be on this roster.
