Yup. This goes back to the "Joe, how do you feel?" days of Gardy letting the inmates run the jail.

Dick have the College World Series on in the background?
  3. Hosken Bombo Disco
    Umm... streak over
  4. Hosken Bombo Disco
No way man. I liked your phonetic spelling. The technical spelling will never catch on.

Hicks's laid back attitude drove Gardy up a wall and he was starting Santana over Hicks even when Hicks was up here. So what would be the point.

This unfortunately was the right move. I believe in Hicks but I'd let him collect his thoughts in AA (and not hear about him the rest of the year). As wild card competitors the Twins will need to roll with Fuld and cross their fingers or make a trade.

I agree with all the "Fuld's arm" comments...
  11. Hosken Bombo Disco
Absolutely.. I'd like him to stick around.

Not that bad but you are right -- Gardy still sees Mauer as the teams best hitter, and #3 hitters don't bunt, meanwhile people here at TD wonder if Mauer should move down a few slots, have wondered for several weeks

And now it's like the 8th inning already. Game suddenly going at the speed of light.
  14. Hosken Bombo Disco
And... the beach balls. as if this game isn't dragging long enough already.

    Comeback Bunny!!!
  16. Hosken Bombo Disco
Yeah we're going to need that Comeback Bunny pretty early on tonite.
  17. Hosken Bombo Disco
I'm not touching that one. Not touching it, in any sense of the word.

sir, a Grain Belt in your hand is no punishment.

I don't know. What position did Dahmer play? Wait, let me look it up. Wait, better not...

That thing looks like a tasty meal to me, and I'm not even a predator by nature (except on the occasional discussion thread)

Fuld may be below average, but at least he is reliably below average.
  22. Hosken Bombo Disco
Too many question marks with this guy.

Well, the one thing I will give you, is that Burton seemed to have a Nathan-esque meltdown against the Yankees last summer, so hopefully we use Burton a little more discreetly in that long Yankees series coming up. But honestly Burton's doing good right now.

This reminds me a lot of what Plouffe went through. Failing at several positions, not hitting, not really showing any urgency about it, getting under people's skin in the process. Also I'm glad Ryan is back to be a spokesman for Hicks--he needs an ally in this organization.

Ouch. Sounds like he's admitting it wasn't so much concussion related but that he just benefitted from a change of scenery. Maybe the same with Phil Hughes this year.
