  1. Would be a shame if Hughes took a loss tonight.
  2. That was a fantastic athletic play by Dozier - wow.
  3. I agree. Deduno was a wild pitch and balk machine in April. We'll see what happens.
  4. And now it sounds like the strike zone is bigger.
  5. One of the things Perkins said is Pinto is young and came up through the system quickly. No and no.
  6. I love the first hand account - thanks! Sounds like a good honeymoon to me..
  7. Sounds like the strike zone is the size of a dime tonight..
  8. Yep. It's possible that conversation took place. Again, not being insiders, the things we don't know.
  9. I don't think they will be sellers either. They can hang around .500 most of the year and hopefully catch fire at some point. 85 wins might win the Central.
  10. Mostly true, but that is some Major League under-the-bus throwing! Also, for a catching prospect, Pinto is not young.
  11. Perkins said a lot more things than that.
  12. Promotion back to Minnesota, I hope. I will continue to take the minority view on this issue, and say that Hicks is our best option in CF this year.
  13. Not sure why people are dismissing the Royals approach on this thread. They won 86 games last year and have as good a chance of making the postseason this year as the Twins do.
  14. I will read that as a plea to get May up to the big leagues -- putting us in agreement.
  15. This is an interesting piece of evidence. I don't know if it amounts to much in the big picture, or on the organization philosophy, or conflicting philosophies, but it might. Reminiscent of Gibson's complete games in AAA last year, signalling an imminent call up? When was the last time Gardy let a guy throw 120 pitches?
  16. If you are Baltimore or Toronto, you will not have many seasons with both New York AND Boston as beatable as they seem to be this year. Tampa Bay, too... I bet Baltimore will be willing to give up something good for a dependable catcher.
  17. I normally don't ask Joe to swing for the fences, but leading off the ninth, down a run, try swinging for The Pole, no?
  18. I've always HATED that about Dozier
  19. Strike two call on Dozier was horrible. Literally at his shoulders. Changed the at bat.
  20. I think one possibility is to give Deduno one more start, then slip May in the rotation ahead of Correia this weekend.
  21. Fine, but is he showing consistency?
