    If they aren’t going to play him they should trade him. There are plenty of needs at other positions. Better than wasting his productive years in AAA.

    If nobody is interested in trading for Alex Jackson today it is quite possible that he slips through waivers. They will make the move on Wednesday when everyone else is trying to finalize their 26-player roster so nobody can add him and then waive him later.

    Good relievers make really nice trade bait at the deadline. A bar Outman has failed to clear in two consecutive seasons.

    I think it means they're still looking for a trade partner for Alex Jackson.

    I will bet everything that Outman doesn't get to 30 steals. Over the last two seasons he had 38 hits and 28 walks. Out of those hits, 20 of them were for extra bases. That leaves 46 times when he was on first base. He stole 3 bases in those 46 opportunities. To steal 30 bases at that rate, he would need to get on base 460 times. I'd say Outman is a potential 3 steal guy. I think I'd bet against anyone getting 30 steals, but the other guys should at least be in the 20s.

    I am actually shocked at how healthy the team appears to be going into Opening Day. That won't last two weeks into April.

    They can't have Outman AND Kreidler on the roster together, can they? That's two bench players you would never want to actually use.

    I think he will pinch hit for Larnach when Larnach is the DH. I wouldn't worry about losing the DH if they use him as a pinch hitter in the 8th or 9th.

    I think it's great that Kody looks like he'll have some success but it's pretty disappointing for the organization if Kody is their best reliever. He's not that great, probably the worst "best reliever" for any team in baseball. He's also nearly 30 years old, so he's probably trade bait at the deadline if he continues his success. All success in baseball is ephemeral, but Kody might be a one-year wonder.

    Outman was worse with the Saints. I have no idea why someone would be skeptical about Rodriguez and optimistic about Outman. Performing like Outman is basically the worst-case scenario for Rodriguez.

    Do they actually have 8 options better than Chafin? Are they going to grab someone from outside the organization?

    Zoll is screwed by his owner anyway. There was no good way to make this roster competitive without trading away prospects and he will probably get fired because the team still stinks. A good owner hires a good baseball guy and then listens to him. A bad owner thinks he knows baseball and micromanages baseball decisions. You can decide which one the Twins have.

    Altavilla has pitched better. I think they'll add him instead.

    Zoll is going to get to rebuild the team. He's just going to have to wait two months and his assets will be worth less.

    Wagaman or Clemens could fill in until Royce starts hitting in AAA. They could keep both and use them as a platoon at 3B. Wagaman has a career 731 OPS against LHP and Clemens can hit RHP. I agree. It looks like they'll keep two automatic outs on the roster - Outman and Kreidler. I don't know when either of them would get in the lineup. Kreidler can field CF well enough to do Outman's job. I wouldn't keep either of them over Roden or Rodriguez.

    Is Zebby is better than Ober? If so, Zebby should move into the rotation and Ober should start working as a reliever. If not, then the Twins have no choice but to take whatever they can get from Bailey Ober.

    If Larnach puts up that line, he's non-tendered because he would cost over $7M in arbitration. If Outman hits .260 it would be his best season in MLB by a HUGE margin. That would exceed his 99th percentile projection. He's hit .141 over his last 304 plate appearances over two seasons. He only hit .235 for the Saints. If we're just wishing for things to happen, then why not wish that Emmanuel Rodriguez hits .360? Do you really think Emmanuel Rodriguez doesn't have the talent to hit better than .141? If so, it would be malpractice to keep him. Trade him now before he exposes that he doesn't have the ability to contribute in MLB.

    A rebuilding team should operate WAY differently than the way the Twins have operated this offseason. They haven't made any decisions as if they're a rebuilding team.
