  1. They are not going to want to carry him on the 40-man in the offseason so he will not make MLB this season. I think we will see a whole new roster in Wichita after the draft.
  2. It has saved us about 300 articles on TwinsDaily speculating about when he would be traded this season and how much they would get in return.
  3. The catcher is calling the pitches with a button on his shin guard.
  4. Seems like he’s doing the right thing. The 2-6 batters aren’t nearly as good at driving in Byron Buxton as Byron Buxton is.
  5. Makes me wonder about the field conditions. A wet infield can easily cost the fielder a step of quickness.
  6. You’ve never heard of Kyle Schwarber? He’s a pretty well known player.
  7. I hope you realize that 90% of what fielding percentage measures for a first baseman is “can he catch a ball thrown directly at him?”. Royce has two steps more range than Sabato in either direction.
  8. If he ages like a typical player he might not last until then.
  9. They already have control over Clemens for the next three seasons after this one, ages 31-33. Castro was 27 in 2024.
  10. A good example of the effect of lineup position on RBI totals. Buxton is 12th in runs scored and he has mostly batted leadoff. That’s what you want from the leadoff hitter.
  11. He’s worse than. Royce Lewis at basically everything - offense, defense, base running.
  12. So Sabato gets playing time and Keaschall gets benched. Why do you think this is so easy?
  13. If Sabato plays DH he will be stealing playing time from Mendez. I suppose you could use both of them as a platoon DH but that seems like a waste of a roster spot.
  14. To really give Sabato a shot, they would need to bench Royce Lewis. Likewise, Fedko would steal playing time from Austin Martin. That seems short sighted.
  15. 2028 is starting to feel optimistic for a turnaround. Their only method of acquiring major league players appears to be the waiver wire. They have squandered their trade value for a rebuild foolishly chasing 80 wins in 2026.
  16. There are very few kids to bring up and let play. Culpepper and Mendez are the only players making a case for a promotion. Fedko and Sabato are not young - they look a lot more like the 28-year-old castoffs they pick up on waivers from other organizations. Roden, Rodriguez and Jenkins are dealing with injuries. Gonzalez has been struggling at the plate in an easy league to hit in. All the AAA pitching is up and Wichita is barren of talent.
  17. Obviously I am honing my standup routine. Glad you are enjoying it.
  18. Gray hits lefthanded, which means he can pinch hit for all the other infielders who hit right handed. I would cut Arcia, option Kreidler and bring up Culpepper and Roden.
  19. You laughed at it, which makes me question your sense of humor.
  20. I can’t imagine any team has a good record when they don’t score runs.
  21. Royce Lewis in 5 games since returning .316/.381/.526
  22. The Twins were able to maximize platoon advantages by using three shortstops to go 0 for 4.
