  1. History has also told us that Jenkins and Rodriguez are also likely to miss large parts of the season. Between the three players they will be lucky to cover two spots. Martin and Roden will get plenty of playing time. They have some depth in the outfield to cover for injuries. They have diddly squat in the infield. Adding a starting caliber middle infielder is critical. That frees up Kody to cover several positions as injury depth. Marek Houston should not be part of 2027 plans as a primary or secondary option.
  2. Remember the article about Paulshawn Pasqualotto and him possibly helping the major league team this year? I wouldn’t worry about that. Woof.
  3. Emmanuel Rodriguez was introduced as “Manny” at the Saints game today. Might be time to stop calling him Emma.
  4. Kala’i Rosario looked good today. They might need to protect him from the Rule 5 draft this December.
  5. Bell has put up minus 1 win above average. He is one of the reasons their record is below .500.
  6. If Gabriel Gonzalez can learn LF and 1B, so can Luke.
  7. And two extra weeks of Jenkins might have moved the needle all the way up to… 7 games out of the playoffs.
  8. Shohei Ohtani couldn’t win in LA… until he went to the Dodgers. You can be the best individual baseball player of a generation but it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a team around you. This isn’t the NBA where one star player can carry a team to a championship.
  9. Disagree. Need to keep pitching him so he works through his struggles and improves as a pitcher.
  10. I think Keaschall should be learning 1B. If Gabe Gonzalez can learn LF and 1B, so can Luke. Royce is not known for his durability.
  11. The frozen apple cider in the horticulture building is a favorite of mine.
  12. Well, call up the prospect at least. Buxton doesn’t have any reason to risk further injury. Have him take care of his hip and add Emmanuel Rodriguez to the roster. I don’t see any other prospects worth calling up.
  13. Defense at 1B matters a lot now with 30 DH spots. Sabato is hitting pretty well at AAA but his glove work keeps him in the minors.
  14. I wouldn’t worry about the Twins trading Keaschall. No other organization values poor fielding corner outfielders more highly than the Twins.
  15. I would like them to extend their internal talent first. They could use a second baseman and there are a few available.
  16. That garbage talk is someone being a sore loser. “I am mad they lost so the Twins should violently attack the White Sox on the field”. That sentiment sounds dumber when I restate it like that.
  17. Are any of the minor league teams going to make the playoffs or are they done after the scheduled games?
  18. Joe Ryan is the only pitcher who might bump him out of the rotation. If the Twins make it to October, then every single pitcher in the rotation will have had an outstanding September. They won’t make it any other way. They can’t win games at a .630 clip without outstanding starting pitching.
  19. If the White Sox win the series they can probably stick a fork in the Twins. There are only 25 games left after this series. 7 games under with 25 games left means they need to go 16-9 to reach .500.
