    Nobody's taking Vazquez, but there are a bunch of useful pitchers ages 30 and up: Coulombe, Stewart, Tonkin, Topa, Jax, and Ober. The last two would bring the most in return.

    Go see Alcatraz if you're in San Francisco. I liked the Zoo, Balboa Park and the Midway in San Diego, but I think the Maritime Museum is underrated. Buy the ticket that comes with the harbor tour.

    I would recommend the MLK historical sites if you're in Atlanta. The Carter Center has an interesting "one day in the life of a president" exhibit. There's also an Apollo capsule at the Fernbank Science Center you can see for free.

    Ober should have been able to get the 7-8-9 hitters out. Of course, Sands should have been able to get them out as well. The Twins were horrible at allowing inherited runners to score last year. It seems like Rocco's solution to that is to always have relievers start a clean inning. That's not a reasonable solution.

    Gotta go to Disneyland if you're seeing an Angels game. I added a Nationals game to a visit to Washington DC to see the Smithsonian museums. I saw a game at the Trop in St. Pete. Skip the game and grab a beer on the beach instead. Go on a road trip to see Field of Dreams and a Cedar Rapids Kernels game.

    I can't argue with this one. They need a rebuild but I don't know why Jeremy Zoll would be the guy to do that.

    As someone who also lives on the east side of the metro, I would not argue with that.

    The Wolves play in EXACTLY the same part of town as the Twins. You can see Target Center from home plate at Target Field. The Wolves play in the winter when it's ALWAYS dark out. If people think Minneapolis is safe for a Wolves game but not safe for a Twins game, well, then they're just a little dumb.

    Wallner's been playing great. His OBP is like 80-100 points higher than everyone else on the team and he has the most extra base hits. What the hell do you want from him?

    He's only 29. Gotta save his arm for his mid-30s. I believe they wanted to give Paddack and Woods-Richardson an extra day of rest. After all, they've pitched ....(looks up baseball reference)... two games each. Paddack has thrown over 7 innings, he's got to be gassed. They'll be getting plenty of reps after they gut this team at the trade deadline.

    Here's where the demographics don't help the team. 15% of the population of Minneapolis is made up of immigrants. Only 35% of the young residents are non-Hispanic white. It would be better for baseball attendance if those immigrants were mostly Dominicans, Puerto Ricans or Cubans instead of mostly Somali and Hmong. Your "5-10 miles from the stadium" rule is apt. It is one of the reasons the Tampa Bay Rays draw so poorly. Much of the area 5-10 miles from Tropicana Field is either Tampa Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.

    They've been waiting for Paddack to "turn things around" since they traded for him.

    I agree with this. More and more it seems like the event they're skipping is a Twins game. They're still going to the State Fair, a hockey or basketball game, a football game, and a concert.

    People seem to be able to afford tickets to the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA hockey, MLS, Gopher football and the WNBA. Concerts downtown are well attended. Twins tickets are often cheaper than those other entertainment options. Going to a Twins game can be cheaper than seeing a movie at the theater.

    He's waiting for the inevitable injury, then he'll slot into Bader's current role.
