  1. Bauer is good enough to be the Twins spot starter. (Kidding. He can be pretty good.)
  2. Bauer's having trouble finding the plate first pitch. We should tee off on him.
  3. Guy named Garcia muffed your can-o-corn in right field?
  4. Somewhere a little boy's request from his hospital bed that Rosario hit three home runs came true. Now the little bastard wants a no-hitter tonight from Santana or he'll croak. He's playin' hardball.
  5. gil4 Johnson is right! Keep the West Coast game threads unlocked longer. My comment about last night's game has to be posted today. Here goes: "The juggernaut of Gibson, Belisle, Rogers, and Kintzler looked every bit Major League last night. Now, later, rinse, repeat for 100 more games." That is all.
  6. Actually, the Twins are fifth in average runs scored. The teams with more runs have played as many as six more games so far. As for ERA, take out the two Godzilla games with Boston and we're still in the 3.80 range. P.S. This has been a CBU.
  7. Don't forget he got thrown off the flight for wearing yoga pants.
  8. NIce to see everyone in a happy mood tonight.
  9. Be careful. If your lady friend is a virgin, the locals may toss her in.
  10. No worries. Yeah, shades of Joe Nathan follies during last night's 9th. (He got into trouble a lot, which we tend to forget.) Plouffe came through once again.
  11. The 110-degree days make it all worthwhile.
  12. Happy for Buck, happy for Joe M., happy for Miggie, happy for Rosie, happy for Erv, happy for El Comandante, happy for Bull Dozier, happy for Herr Kepler. It's nice to be happy. Maybe now we can have nice things.
  13. Called up Santana's projected numbers and ESPN has him going 29-0 with a 0.65 ERA. I remember when Gibson (Bob, not Kyle) went 22-7 with a 1.12 ERA in 1968. And that year I batted .545 in Little League and played catcher after Bill Freehan put on a clinic in Flint on an off day in May. Good times. EDIT ADD: Unlike Freehan, I didn't have to face Gibson, thank goodness.
  14. Ain't nothing better than scoring runs with two outs. In baseball, that is.
  15. Pleasantly surprised to see Mr. Hughes weaving in and out of trouble, and Dozie getting a big hit. Be nice to vulture a win here.
  16. Y'know, Mauer was a goalie in high school. (Or was that Morneau?)
  17. FWIW, I read on ESPN's MLB home page that this is the fifth anniversary of Phil Humber's perfect game with the White Sox. He had 20.2 innings in eight appearances for the Twins in 2008-09. No decisions then. Went 14-14 with Chicago. Then went totally south in Houston, going 0-8 with a 7-plus ERA in 2013. Out of baseball, as far as I know.
  18. My wife and I own and operate a clothing store. We hang all our polos and golf shirts. Don't know why others do it differently.
  19. CBU: Good Guys 3, Evil Team in Black 1.
