  1. A bloop that barely cleared Altuve's glove. He was so mad he threw his glove down in disgust. Pretty funny.
  2. Fingernails on a chalkboard are a Mozart symphony compared to Torii Hunter.
  3. Yes, error was costly, but Berrios was terrible tonight. You go 2-0, 3-0 on almost every batter you are going to get results like this. He was lucky in the 1st inning,he wasn't throwing strikes then either.
  4. Why is everyone in such a hurry to dump Rosario for Granite? I don't get it. We don't have a clue if Granite can hit at the MLB level yet.
  5. You seriously underestimate how elite Bolt is. This race would be a joke, a bad one.
  6. "Sure, there has to be hope that at his best, he's more than a .650 OPS hitter. If that's all he is however, it can't be overstated how important he is to this club" If that's all he ever becomes I'll be damned disappointed.
  7. Seth, that would be one heck of a coincidence if both Romero and Jorge had the exact same OPS against for 3 months.........
  8. Not that I really care, results are what matter, but don't the radar guns seem hot? I think they had Santana throwing 96 a couple times today.
  9. Sure, just don't call him a "star". He isn't one, yet. He may never be. It might all click tomorrow. Who knows? My crystal ball sucks...
  10. Already a star? Are you kidding me? As someone else said, why the puff piece? He is what he is at this point, a great defensive player, and a big offensive liability. "Stars" don't have negative OWAR, they just don't.
  11. How? Teams like the Twins can't/won't go out and spend for an ace in the free agent market.
  12. Well, the one certainty with the Twins is that they ALWAYS "need" pitching....
  13. Well, he might be "overshadowed" by Buxton, but he's also been the better major league player so far also. It wouldn't be crazy that he ends the better player over their careers of the 2.
  14. I just feel like the wheels could come off at any moment. A 4.35 FIP is nothing to throw a parade for. I guess when the bar is set so low, it's hard not to to exceed it...
  15. While this is fun and all, we've played 3.7% of the season. If we are .500 after 40 games I'll start to get excited.
  16. .270/.335/.410 with below average defense, which makes the left side of the infield, with Sano at 3rd, a mess defensively.
  17. There's a lot of hopium in this article.
  18. Huh? Breslow the last 3 years, ERA of 5.96,4.15 and 4.50. WHIP 1.86,1.42 and 1.79. K/9 of 6.1,6.3 and 4.5. OPS against of .887,825 and 869. Admittedly a small sample size for O'Rourke but his first 2 years, ERA 6.14 and 3.96 WHIP 1.41 and 1.12, K/9 of 9.8 and 8.6, OPS against .660 and .615. One is 28 and trending in the right direction and the other is 36 and is trending in the wrong direction. I'll take O'Rourke any day of the week.
  19. .240/.340/.480. too many K's and below average defense. Hope I'm wrong.
  20. Not a fan of keeping Tonkin, IMO he's always going to be more potential than results. Don't know why we had to get Breslow either. O'Rourke can get lefties out.
