  1. Although Astudillo has been a joy to watch, probably the biggest positive of this season has been the consistent good pitching from Gibson. He seemed to prove that the last 2 months of last season were not a fluke. He sure looks like someone we need to extend, if possible.
  2. In the little that we have got to see him, Gonsalves reminds me of Tommy Milone without the control. That's not a good combination.
  3. Yeah, too bad there's that part of the game called hitting.......
  4. So what? At least you are paying for performance instead of "potential".
  5. Hawkins is the best of the bunch and Hunter is just about unbearable to listen to. I turn the sound off when he's on.
  6. That "kid" had minor league numbers that were light years better that Stewart's. Not even close to the same situation.
  7. Using such small sample sizes and 3 1/3 and 6 2/3 innings doesn't really make your points very strong....do you really think May is going to continue to get a 21% swinging strike rate? I don't and I'd be willing to bet you on it. Meanwhile, Hader has done it over 58 innings..... Lots of guys have "dominated at an elite level" for 6 2/3 innings.
  8. Meh, I wouldn't consider Rogers or Moya (or Rodney for that matter)sure things for the pen next year...
  9. I wonder if any reporters will have the balls to ask the front office about Sano coming back because of the trade.
  10. First K today was classic Sano, swinging at a slider down and away......
  11. Well, as far as Sano and last nights game, I'll just quote The Who. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"....
  12. Haha, Milb.com's Rochester page has Sano listed at 260..........
  13. It seems pretty clear this wasn't based on merit, but on need. Not the most ringing endorsement for the front office's planning.
  14. Sure, but that's not really the offer. It's possibly $1.25 3-5 years from now, or it could be $0 3-5 years from now. Big difference form your instant profit scenario.....
  15. yeah, well I might be dead by the time the "future" get here....
  16. sometimes a loss isn't just a loss. this was one of those games...
  17. Seems most everyone likes their shiny new toys today....
