  1. Didn't he get pinched for selling alcohol to minors?
  2. I believe you are correct, if he can get to Cleveland by game time tomorrow, that would be awesome.
  3. TC Bear is awfully persuasive... Even if Gardy was begging Antony to keep Bartlett as the BU CF, Antony could still make the call to go with Parm or Presley or sign one. i struggle with the thought that Gardy would want Bartlett instead of a BU CF. This is the manager who won't DH Pinto because he doesn't want to lose DH. Why would he want to BU Hicks with a player who can't hit or field?
  4. tough to say if Mastro is back up to full speed, but Presley or Parmelee would be nice to have right now.
  5. Good point. Thankfully there are options at AAA
  6. He put Bartlett in LF, but it was Bartlett or Escobar, pick your poison.
  7. The graphic on the screen says the twins have scored third most runs in mlb, huh? Go figure
  8. Antony or Gardy? I don't really blame Gardy, he doesn't have many choices...
  9. Dislike my take, fine, don't make it personal.
  10. True, they could still lose because of Bartlett's play. Frankly I hope they do. It's just one game, and this outing may earn Bartlett a DFA
  11. Regardless of the outfield situation, he's earned it. He's bound to regress, but he's been the best hitter as a DH on the teams, and he's fielded first base pretty well too.
  12. While Bartlett's fielding and hitting is an embarrassment for both Bartlett and the team, this is just 1 of 162, and the Twins could still win in spite of terrible LF play.
  13. Bartlett gets hit by a pitch, his first productive act this season
  14. And this is why you don't go into the season without a 4th outfielder who can play center...
  15. Do you sub him out with Escobar, or Pinto?
  16. All three hitting much better than I expected, Kubel hasn't been terrible in the field. Cola looked pretty good at 1. I expected more defensively from Zuke, but maybe my expectations were unreasonable.
  17. Bremer says Hammer is day to day, no broken bones. Does he or Arcia go to the DL anyways to make room for Maestrianni? That bench is awfully thin...
  18. Colabello continues to get seeing eye hits. I'll take it.
  19. agreed, and I think Deduno has a place with this team in the future, but not as a starter. I think it would be a good sign for him to get his role figured out.
  20. Both are disappointing. I hope both come to resolution soon.
  21. I know this is a bad team, I expect a 70 win team, but I am optimistic. i am hopeful that the pitching on this team will be much better than last year and it will keep this team in closer games. i am hopeful that players like Pinto, Colabello, and Arcia improve their fielding and realize their batting potential, to become fixtures of the future Twins team. i am hopeful that Gibson takes over and anchors this pitching staff, and becomes the opening day starter 2015 by earning it, not by being the free agent acquisition du jor. i am hopeful that the front office makes successful value building trades for the future with the many of the players that are not a part of this future, making room for prospects like Meyer, Rosario, and Buxton to begin their big league careers. I am optimistic that this team becomes younger, and is filled with rookie mistakes, all the while maturing and improving on the big league stage. I don't think optimism and predicting a bad team are oxymoronic.
  22. where were Hicks and Willingham, backing up 2nd base on the foul/fair pop up in the 9th?
