  1. "The cardinal sin" -Bert Blyleven
  2. I would rather La Bombo at this point.
  3. That's it, he's a bit of a diva, especially for being statistically dead center average as starting pitchers go. Add to it the infielders in the outfield, poor hitting lineup, and the best fielding OF on the current active roster who has .05 higher BA against left vs right splits is sitting out. I'm betting he lost is mind in Gardy's office.
  4. No Hicksie against a left hander. Is Fuld ready to come up too?
  5. What do you suppose Nolasco's reaction was when he saw the lineup?
  6. But the corresponding batting average dip has set right in.
  7. Good point, TJ might mean Sano becomes 1st base or DH. It's a topic for another thread, but this opens a whole new can of worms
  8. Apparently I value the 4th outfielder more than others, but maybe Rosario is that guy and not Hicks? Regardless, playing Rosario in a lot of different positions can only help with flexibility. Right now it looks like Rosario is a talented prospect without a 2b spot in the majors. There's a lot more uncertainty with the outfield where he has more experience. If Rosario can be a good hitter and plus fielder, there's opportunity for him.
  9. That's why you want a spotter, to catch you when you pass out, so you don't bump your head
  10. 55 pitches thru 4 innings for Deduno. Does he have the sink on the FB today? Looks like more grounders hit. He might go 6 tonight.
  11. And Arcia and Willingham are still rehabbing
  12. True enough, but how about some lineup creativity?
  13. This season hasn't been the JM we're accustomed to. Is his back still injured? Still learning 1b? There's still time for Joe to come back, but man!
  14. One players has 14 doubles on the season the other has 5. One is Joe Mauer, the other is Eduardo Escobar.
  15. I'm a fan of Parms, but why does a guy who's 0-fer the season batting with RISP continue to hit cleanup?
  16. Just'a good ol' boys Never meanin' no harm. Beats all you never saw Been in trouble with the law Since the day they was born
  17. Parmelee has younger legs and is more likely to be claimed off of waivers at this point. He hasn't had the highest average, but has shown power. He has also more likely to continue hitting the way he had currently, where Kubel may continue to digress. Kubel has looked very aged over the last few weeks as the rigors of playing the outfield have caught up.
  18. For as long as the team keeps repeating the same mistake...
  19. It would be nice to have him in AAA when/if Correia and/or Pelfrey are traded and Meyer/May come up. If they both come up AAA starting pitching becomes a little thin. It wouldn't be all bad to have a guy in AAA to bring up in a pinch that if you lost Jim to waivers wouldn't be a large pain.
  20. Is it possible to sanitize them enough?
