what is encouraging about this season, more than previous, is this team can improve with several positions were injuries to occur. Last year it was Logan Darnell to get the next call up to the big league rotation. This year it's Meyer who's next in line with Milone as the fallback. With May already up, and Gibson establishing himself, that's a great step. Is Meyer absolutely going to improve this rotation were Pelf or Nolasco get injured? Not necessarily, but way more likely than Darnell, Johnson, or Milone.

globally it's unusual for a country to play the national anthem before every sporting event. If missing the national anthem means win more games, great, can they miss God Bless America or TMOTTBG at the 7th inning stretch too?

I'm eye candy, if you like overweight bald white guys who wear glasses and dress blandly. I wonder what my wife sees in me

its not like there aren't options. Nunez, Stauffer, Milone, Schafer,Boyer, and they are all on the DL or active roster

"Checking in on the baseball match between Philadelphia's Athletics and Senators Twinks-- Wow, 0-4 the first time, 4-4 the second. And in between, memories invoked of my man Jerry Jeff and the gang... Heh-- just another Tuesday in HK." Are you up against the wall Redneck Mother? 32 and drinking in a Honkey Tonk, kicking hippies asses and raising hell?

cant it start with 12 and go from there? I guess I would give a little more weight to 12 games in May than 12 games in March. And besides Hicks and Rosario aren't the same. One may react differently than the other. For all we know some extended time in AAA could help Hicks right his ship and still become a very valuable every day CF or 4th OF, and Rosario could take over every day CF duties from day one.

Hunter needs to talk about baseball. Leave the politics to politicians
  16. Richie the Rally Goat
    Santana! Just like Cecilia
  17. Richie the Rally Goat
because a baseball game should generally be done in 3 hours
  18. Richie the Rally Goat
    serious?
  19. Richie the Rally Goat
nailed it. The contingency plan for Hunter was Schaffer/Robinson/Hicks or a AAA player with all of 1 game at AAA and a 50 game suspension last year. Not exactly ideal
  20. Richie the Rally Goat
id imagine, if he had it, it's broken with the link Platoon provided

what alternatives doesMolitor have now? Molitor benching or DHing Hunter is more an indication of the quality of alternative options.
  22. Richie the Rally Goat
    well crap!

hunter sucking not his Fault? Absolutely correct, it's Terry Ryan's fault. Everyone who watched baseball in 2013-14 knew that Hunter was done. cutting Hunter won't help this team in 2015? maybe. Or Maybe cutting Hunter brings up Rosario who figures out major league pitching and becomes a stud for years to come. This team obviously can't keep fielding Arcia and Hunter in the same outfield, and the sad part is the guy who needs the reps in the outfield to improve is getting the "rest" As far as the conservatism goes, I just wish he'd keep his views to himself, no matter which side of the argument he was on. I want to watch good baseball, not poor baseball and political stumping. Luckily I havent heard mr Hunter express his views on non-baseball related subjects lately.

im with you Paul. The sad thing is, we'll never know how good Santana could be. Not ever.

Thank you so much for your insight Mat. Really great read! I am with Jokin. What is your repertoire, and what are your goals for 2015
