Celebrated at my local pride festival this morning. It was affirming, inspirational and heartwarming seeing my community come out in support! Seeing the line out the “free mom hugs” tent was a gut wrenching reminder of what all this is really about. whether Willi is an ally, advocate, or member of the community, or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s the love, respect and dignity we afford our fellow humans that matters. happy pride month -

Still need to call a good game, and actually catch a ball thrown at you at 100 mph. i still do directionally agree that receiving the pitch to improve the odds of the umpire calling a strike won’t be a thing anymore and defensive specialists won’t be a thing anymore. They already are pretty rare.

I disagree with the juvenile characterization of Lewis. Understanding of things a person can control and things they cannot shows maturity to me. i read those quotes as frustration in the situation, of which I can’t blame him. I’m frustrated in the situation too

As a season package holder, I do not wait until day-of to purchase tickets. As far as I understand it, something like half of MLB tickets are sold before the season starts. Yes, star-power sells tickets, but winning sells more tickets (unless you’re the Rays). The article was a systematic development approach to get more out of marginal minor-league pitchers. Clearly no team would construct an entire pitching staff out of 3 inning pitchers, it would waste potential of some, and stretch capability of others. on the other hand, every team has a Simeon Woods-Richardson or two in their rotation. Wouldn’t it be great if every 5th time through the rotation wasn’t effectively a bullpen game? Or if it were a bullpen game, you had a scheduled game upcoming you were confident of only using two pitchers, and not an automatic loss?

Good observation. I wish Keirsey well, but I hope you are wrong and Buck is fine. It’s been great watching him finally healthy

He’s clearly off somehow, but that doesn’t take away from my fan appreciation for him being a good dude. Signing autographs, always a smile and positive disposition. It’s great to see, and sad we don’t see more of it. Sometimes it feels like the fans get forgotten in all this stuff. not Royce, he knows the fans are why he has a job. It’s refreshing
