    I'm a little upset to not see Colabello in the lineup. What's the point of calling him up if you aren't going to use him? He got a pinch hit opportunity in the first game but someone else could have done that.

    I always look at the Top 20 prospects for the Twins, but for some reason I never comprehended that Gibson is the #45 prospect in all of baseball. Hopefully we see him soon!

    Personally, I wouldn't even consider that trade. Everything you hear about Buxton is great. I think he is much more valuable since he is a position player that plays every day, instead of a pitcher that plays once every 5 days.

    No, it's not likely to happen. It wasn't likely to happen with the Rays and Cardinals in 2011 either, and they were better teams than the Twins this year. However, every game should be treated as a meaningful game because you play to win the game.

    Ask the 2011 Cardinals or Rays if they are playing meaningful games if they are 10 games back in September.

    A pitcher still has most of the control over his ERA and also a lot of control whether his team wins or not. The point of the pitcher is to limit the runs and win the game. Saying a pitcher performed better yet had a higher ERA and less wins is not true.

    Is James Beresford looking to be a starter for the Twins at some point, or more like Jamey Carroll? How fast is he?

    I think you are over-analyzing and looking into the stats too much. Why should WHIP, K/9, or K/BB matter if he has a better W-L and ERA? Isn't the objective of the pitcher to limit the other team's runs through any means possible and win the game?

    I'm cautiously optimistic that Hicks, Dozier, and Parmelee have started to figure things out.

Adrian Salcedo: 13 Appearances, 3-1 with 4.71 ERA and 24 Ks in 21 innings, only 1 walk (Fort Myers) Levi Michael: .233/.310/.379 .689 OPS, 8 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR and 9 RBI as well as 3 SB. Has a .922 fielding percentage at SS (Fort Myers) Niko Goodrum: .265/.375/.394 .769 OPS, 11 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR and 22 RBI with 4 SB. .936 fielding percentage at SS (Cedar Rapids) Madison Boer: 3 Appearances (2 starts), 1-0 with an ERA of 11.81 and 5 Ks in 10.2 innings, 7 walks (Fort Myers) Angel Morales: .278/.353/.473 .826 OPS, 13 2B, 4 3B, 4 HR and 26 RBI with 3 SB. .982 fielding percentage at CF (Fort Myers)

    Saying "The Tigers offense pounced on Mike Pelfrey" isn't quite a fair assessment to me. He looked solid for most of the start, but got into trouble in the 6th inning and the bullpen didn't come through for him.

    Last time I checked, the season is 162 games, not 44. I don't care if we don't have much of a chance at making the playoffs, we should be playing to win either way. I'm not saying Carroll should be starting at 2b every day, but he should be playing more often because he gives us a better chance to win right now. Maybe Dozier and the other younger players could learn something from watching him play.

    I honestly think this could be the worst thing the Twins could possibly do. Just from a baseball standpoint, you aren't going to get near the production from whoever replaces him, and right now he is the face of the franchise.

    Would anybody rather see Jamey Carroll playing instead of Dozier? I've found Carroll a lot more exciting to watch lately than Dozier and Carroll seems to do everything the right way. He doesn't have much power, but he always gives you a good at bat.

    I wasn't using RBI to rate a player. I said "he's hitting .314 and is on pace to have 117 RBI." He is hitting .378 in May, as well as .323 with runners on, and .327 with runners in scoring position. In what world is that struggling?

    I don't see how you can say Morneau is underachieving. Yeah I would like to see some more power out of him, but he's hitting .314 and is on pace to have 117 RBI.
