  1. I guess that's true. I didn't mean Gibson should be given a spot regardless, but he should be strongly considered for a spot. What does everyone think of Hendriks? If he is out of options, should we stick him in the rotation one last time and see what happens? We probably know how that would go. Is there room for him in the bullpen? I'm also expecting Worley to be in the rotation this year.
  2. Gibson has to be in the rotation from the start. I don't completely understand the negativity I've seen people have towards him when we talk about SSS all the time.
  3. I think you are missing the point that Nolasco instantly makes the starting rotation better. This also means that one more spot of the rotation won't be taken up by a AAAA or low quality pitcher. He doesn't turn us into a World Series contender, but it is a step closer.
  4. Garza made just over $10 million last year. MLBTradeRumors project him to get a 4 year $64 million contract.
  5. I've read that left handed power bats don't do as well at Target Field. If that's the case, I don't see him being tens of millions of dollars better than Dozier.
  6. I would love to get Garza. Getting Saltalamacchia would be good as well, but it's no skin off my back if that doesn't happen.
  7. I love this site. I don't regularly contribute to the discussion, but everyone has great information on the players and team. Thanks guys
  8. It looks like the deal doesn't exceed 4 years and $52 million according to Chris Cotillo. What does that realistically leave the Twins capable of doing with other free agents? I think getting Garza would be awesome. I'm just wondering if it is realistic in terms of money.
  9. One projection has the deal in the range of Edwin Jackson's 4 year $52 million deal according to the mlbtraderumors piece.
  10. He got traded so you might be looking at split stats. He pitched 87 innings for the Dodgers and 112.1 for the Marlins.
  11. Thanks everyone. I thought this would be a cool experience I could do. Especially if I could get some autographs. I saw that Byron Buxton plans to be there.
  12. I'm hoping it is Garza.
  13. I just read that TwinsFest will be back at Target Field in January. I have a couple questions about it. 1. How hard are tickets to get? 2. Are the tickets for one day or all three days? 3. What is your experience from it and are the tickets worth it?
  14. I wouldn't love the signing, but I wouldn't hate it and I don't exactly disagree with it.
  15. Castro has trouble defensively, doesn't he? If that's true Castro and Sano at SS and 3B wouldn't be ideal. He had a bad offensive year last year.
  16. Would a third year of Arroyo at age 40-41 be better than some of the guys we have in the minors? Not the top prospect guys, but guys like Darnell, Baxendale, etc. I would rather see what those guys can do than have a pitcher over the age of 40. I'm not in favor of a third year.
  17. You too?
  18. Worley wasn't a bad pitcher when we acquired him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the rotation at all. We have a lot of iffy pitching options and I feel like at least one of those guys is going to step up and be in the rotation.
  19. Is anyone expecting some kind of bounce back from Vance Worley?
  20. I'm on board with either.
  21. What does everyone think the Twins will do with their last 40 man roster spot? Is there anyone in particular you would like to see the Twins get in the Rule V Draft?
  22. What catchers out there would be better than a mix of Pinto/Herrmann and Doumit?
  23. I don't know much about Amaurys Minier, but he sounds like a similar player to Miguel Sano. Is that true? Thanks for putting together this list, Seth!
  24. Where is Meyer going to start and realistically how early could he get to the Twins? I will for sure be making multiple trips to Minnesota if Buxton, Sano and Meyer are there. I'm excited for Rosario and Stewart as well.
  25. It sounds like we have some pretty talented pitchers in the lower levels. Where do Eades and Rogers start next year, and how quickly could they move up?
